The place is clean as a whistle. The staff is bilingual and very nice. The way the doors are configured to go in and out however is not to easy for someone who needs a wheelchair. You open the first door then you have to turn a 90 degree angle and open an other door to step into the place. Since it is now pick up or delivery only it's not too big a problem. The place was not crowded at all when I passed by. They have taken steps to make sure that the safety of the staff and the clients are good. Marathon souvlaki express is right next to the actual Marathon souvlaki restaurant. The express' s purpose is to give you the take out or delivery option for the menu you find in the restaurant. You have a small dining area under normal circumstances but because of Covid they closed that small area. They let me wait inside for my food . Here is what you can order: they have 2 types of salade : greek and marathon ( that one has lettuce in it ) . They have souvlaki on a stick and on a Pita : chicken and pork. They have gyros lamb chops fried calamari etc... You can check out the menu on there website. It did not take me too long to get my food but their is a little wait. You can of course cut the wait time a bit by ordering ahead by phone and going to pick it up after. All in all I like the food there very much and go there to pick up some greek food on the way back from work sice it's on my way home and it always delicious! Go check it out!...
Read moreI used to love this restaurant and recommended it to many people over the years. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was really disappointing. I ordered one combo and one pita, and the chicken was extremely chewy—nothing like what I was used to from this place. I even asked the staff if they had changed their chicken supplier, but they said no.
I couldn’t even eat the combo. I left the chicken on the plate so it was clear something was wrong, and I didn’t touch the pita at all. When I brought this up, the staff did offer to bring me another pita, which I appreciated, but I had lost my appetite by that point.
What really upset me was being charged the full amount anyway. Even though I didn’t eat the pita and clearly showed my dissatisfaction with the combo, the bill came including everything. Only after I spoke to the waitress again did they remove the pita from the bill. I still ended up paying for a meal I couldn’t eat, and honestly, I left feeling very disrespected.
This experience was disappointing, especially coming from a place I used to enjoy so much. I hope they take this feedback seriously and reconsider how they handle situations like this with...
Read moreI was at this restaurant on Friday 5PM, the waiter guided us to the worst table in the restaurant, other tables were empty even though I asked other customers if they reserved the table or not, they say no reservations. Even though the table are for four but I saw only two in one table of four. The worse tables are in the middle they always guide you to these tables to fill it first because no one like it. Their gyro has no spices or flavor. The rice has more carrots than rice. My experience was so bad. Just once you go in select your table as a customer you have the right to do that. I didn’t pay tips because of what happened. Then the waiter shouted just to let me be in a shameful position in front of other people. even though I was in a table that look like in a grave yard hole. While other customers enjoying their open wide table. Eventually I paid tips just to calm the situation. I left my plate with all gyro and rice carrots. I ate the fried chips and salad. Overrated restaurant. If you found your self with an old waiters try to change or just order and don’t request anything extra. Because you gonna face a rudeness of a...
