Patisserie Chocolaterie Raffin — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Last Saturday (May 24th), I spent $66 for a cake, a bread and a few almond croissants. Very disappointed with every item of my purchase.. Most of all, I am also disappointed with the customer service (which was directly with the owner, Peggy).

The cake was not edible: The icing was hard and the cake was dry. The only redeeming factor of the cake were the fresh strawberries.

Peggy let me know to bring the cake back sometime in the week, and I did (on May 28th). While she wasn’t there at the time, Peggy informed her employee that I would be bringing the cake. The employee took a piece out of the cake (see attached image) and very rudely told me that the cream and the cake were “fine” (despite it being 5 whole days after purchasing). I doubt the cake would have be “fine” 5 days after purchasing it..

I left my name and phone number expecting a call back from Peggy, however, nothing. Overall, very disappointing experience, and will not...

An imposture!

i decided to go to the store when i read the info story on their website ( the comment says (they were awarded the third prize for the best croissant)!!!!!

I ordered croissant, some pastries and one supposed "baguette tradition" but after getting back home !!! i was really surprised!!!

My god! the croissant was just like maxi's croissants!!!! no texture not exceptional taste ( taste the SPS fat).

The pastries were not fresh at all, they were putted in the freezer and served in the morning ( SHAME ) not good taste. i also noticed that the supposed "baguette tradition" was an conventional baguette worst than big store's baguette!!!

So after my experience i decided not to return to this place, and for all those who put more than 1 star to this because they did not knew any thing in traditional pastry and bread, in my opinion this supposed french traditional place for me is...

J'aurais mis 0 étoile si j'en avais eu la possibilité, car ça refléterait mieux mon expérience extremement décevante avec la pâtisserie Raffin.

Il y a presque un an, j'ai commandé mon cadeau de mariage à cette pâtisserie, je voulais un "Naked cake" avec des fleurs naturelles, je leur ai montré une photo pour donner une idée de ce que je voulais (voir les images) on me dit qu'il n'y a aucun problème mais qu'ils ne fournissent pas les fleurs ! J'ai donc acheté des fleurs et naturellement je m'attendais à ce qu'elles soient bien entreposées sur le gâteau pour en faire une belle décoration à l'image de mon exemple sur la photo.

Résultat, comme il est très clairement visible sur les images, mon gâteau était loin d'être un Naked Cake il était plutôt JAUNE et à cause d'un très mauvaise emballage nous avons perdu la moitié du premier étage ! quant aux fleurs, elles ont simplement été plantées dans le gâteau avec la moitié de la tige ! le prix de tout ça 460$ !

J'aurais vraiment mieux apprécié qu'on me dise : désolé, on ne fait pas ce genre de gâteau ici

Je ne recommande aucunement cette pâtisserie pour des gâteaux de Mariage

Vous savez ce qui est dommage c'est de MENTIR. 1- Je ne suis pas venu chercher mon gâteau, c'était le jour de mon mariage, ça ne fait pas ça une marié d'habitude ça se prépare ! donc je ne sais pas comment vous aviez vu que j'étais TRÈS SATISFAITE ! 2- Je fais le commentaire un an plus tard en effet, c'est la preuve à quel point ceci m'est resté sur le coeur 3-Vous auriez pu regarder pour faire quelque chose ? quoi par exemple ?vous m'auriez préparé un autre en 5 min ? le Gâteau était aucunement ce que j'avais demandé, les photos parlent d'elle mêmes, un naked cake n'est pas JAUNE et les fleur on en parle même pas Vous devriez juste accepté le fait que vous avez fait un très mauvais gâteau et vous en avez fait une cliente très insatisfaite le jour le plus important de sa vie ... c'est raté ... ça arrive Toutefois j'ai tout les droits de ne pas vous recommander et je ne reviens...
