Mikasa Chiisai — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

I will never go back to the Mikasa on boulevard de la Concorde ever again, although it was my place of choice for sushis. Yesterday, I placed an order at 6PM asking if my ordoer could be ready by 7:30PM - the woman who answered said of course. I called ahead so they would have plenty of time to prepare my order. Well, I got the restaurant at 7:30 PM and my order was not ready, not even started. When I mentioned that I had called at 6PM, the waitress just said that they had been very busy. Strange as the restaurant was totally empty as well as the parking lot! I had to wait until 7:50 for my order. Does that mean that all the clients that came or phoned between 6 and 7:30 were more important than me? I guess so! I had an order of $200 worth of food. The waitress didn't offer to go through my order as they usually do - When I got home some of the sushis I had ordered were missing although they were on the invoice and paid for. Nobody came to see me and apologize for the delay. They simply just don't care. If this has happened to me, it will happen again to other customers. Bad management, bad manners,...

Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, you won't be disappointed. Great selection and very tasty! We've ordered the chef's choices many times as well as selecting our own rolls; they're all delicious.

If you're coming in for lunch, they also have a lunch menu option. Great little spot...

Parce que je ne peux pas mettre 6 étoiles... Vraiment le meilleur resto de sushis que j'ai jamais essayé. On y revient encore et encore... Des sushis extras, belle variété. Les spécialités sont vraiment super: n'en commandez pas trop à la fois, vous n'aurez bientôt plus faim tant ils contiennent du poisson! On n'apporte pas notre vin, mais le prix est très raisonnable (environ 50% de plus que le prix SAQ). La plupart des clients commandent et viennent chercher leurs plats - toujours tout frais, mais on aime bien manger sur place dans ce petit bistro bien décoré avec les cuisiniers à côté. Service très gentil et assuré. Caché dans un petit centre commercial à côté d'un Subway. Allez-y sans crainte, vous m'en direz...
