Stopped at the south side location and it seemed to be doing a steady business of take-out. I ordered 3 pieces of the honey BBQ with taters. The order came out super fast in less than 5 minutes and it was piping hot. So hot in fact, that I had to let the 2 thighs and side breast sit for an additional 5 minutes so I didn't burn my mouth. I had tried food from the Mary Browns location on the west side of the city and thought it was pretty darn good. This time around the Honey BBQ did not disappoint. Juicy, with a slight crispness to the batter, made this chicken quite delicious in my opinion. There seemed to be a good selection of sides which included taters, fries, biscuits, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, as well as coleslaw. Of course there were an array of other items you would expect in a fast food chicken outlet that includes 4 types of wings, chicken tenders, popcorn chicken, and 3 types of chicken burgers. Personally, I come for the fried chicken pieces in particular. Much less greasy and batter-covered than KFC with a lot less of the spice in the ingredients. I will definitely choose this kind of chicken over Popeyes or Church's. Nice that this store ran so efficiently and I am sure that if I was to travel 15 to 20 minutes across the city to dine at home that the chicken would have remained nice and hot. I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5 for this location...
Read moreThe person taking orders was rude. We got our food 10 min before closing and she kicked us out. Then we called the owner? or manager? And he was equally as rude. I spent $33 on 2 people to eat and then they literally kicked us out. I appreciate they have to clean up, but then show that your dining room closes. I just can't imagine having a business and not wanting to satisfy your customers. Then he got mad because his employee wasn't supposed to give us his phone number. Hahaha. I could barely understand him, but I found it odd that a grown man who is the business owner, prefers the little girls working the cash register to deal with customers complaints and he wants to be completely unaccountable. It actually wasn't a big deal to not eat in there, just odd that he was arguing with me on the phone and trying to tell me how grateful we should be that he served us. Most businesses thank you for your patronage. They don't tell you how awesome they are and you should just be glad they served you. So weird! There...
Read moreI have been here twice. The first time we got a a spicy chicken sandwich and a k burger and they were delicious. We decided to go back on 7/23/24 and give their fried chicken a try. We ordered two spicy Batter boxes and 2 tater poutines. After ordering we were informed it would take 30 minutes to cook the chicken. Not a problem thanks for informing us. They went above and beyond though and brought us a sample of their chicken poppers to try while we waited.
Now their food is delicious. We ate the poutine there and loved it. It is the best fast food poutine we have found. The chicken we took home and put in the fridge. It reheats better than most chicken. (I used an air fryer) and the taste is superior to any place around. We will be going back here and if you are considering trying this restaurant don't miss out...
