Lillooet Inn Restaurant — Restaurant in Lillooet

Popped in here not quite knowing what to expect as we were driving through Lillooet on the way to Pemberton. I was genuinely surprised to find a Japanese restaurant in what seems like a pretty small town, and initially, I was considering the western items on their menu but seeing all the tasty looking Bento boxes fly out of the kitchen, I couldn't resist ordering a box to eat on the road! (Wouldn't be easy to manage eating as a driver, but as a passenger, it was great!) The thin cut teriyaki beef was some of the best I've had in ages, the dressing on the greens was delicate and lovely, tempura wasn't overly oily but was nicely crisped, and all-in-all I was quite delighted with my meal.

Definitely a gem of a restaurant and really lovely staff. Next time we drive through I'll certainly try actual sushi and...

Ordered a double patty burger as well as quite a bit of sushi (don't judge me).

Despite the varied menu both offerings were very good. Sushi was probably better than the burger all things considered, but I've had more bad sushi than bad burgers so that may play a part in my judgement. Don't read that as a disparagement to the burger though, for a bit more than a Big Mac combo it was spectacularly good.

Service was prompt and very professional, with lots non alcohol beverage refills which was nice.

ordered a house salad, salmon cone, and green tea (free?)

the owner greeted us and was super nice and friendly! very welcoming lady (short brown hair, nasa shirt, and long brown khaki pants)

salad was refreshing and flavourful - the avocado really adds to it - i especially really like the “dressing”, it’s like a clear, blended onion and other seasoning sauce

the salmon cone tasted fresh and simple. the japanese mayo pairs really well with the salmon

japanese green tea was good - as always
