Dont judge a book by its cover!!! What a great stop-in find! Unassuming and non-descript exterior gives no indication to how amazing the service and food at THIS spot! An impromptu mid-week find when visiting the area for a long overdue business & personal meetup happened by chance last Thurs 3MAR22.

The service (Cassie) was genuinely friendly, unrushed and simply warm and sincere. She made us feel so welcomed! However it was a long overdue business and personal meetup, she did respect our need for additional time to finally order. Started with their raspberry mojito and white sangria which were both perfect for an afternoon cocktail that was refreshing.

Next came our apps -halloumi fries and spinach dip. They had us at Halloumi fries and cheese dip😆 ....even better was Cassie letting us know the halloumi fries could be made gluten-free [YAAY!]🙌

Our mains were HUGE -I mean HUGE and very fresh, tasty portions. My partner had the steak salad with some minor adjustments on the cheese & protein. I kid you not when I say, it was a massive salad!! My partner had to take the rest home as well and was very pleased with the portion of greens and protein. My chicken avocado wrap with added lobster was heavenly and HUMONGOUS!! The upcharge for the added lobster was very reasonable and of high, fresh quality.

The service, portions and quality of The Local is outstanding! If you are in the area, stop in, ask for Cassie and stuff ur belly!

Went here for mother's day today with my family and inlaws, i dont complain at all because i understand the pressure servers get. First we had to wait for our table, which was okay I know people like to sit for a while. When we sat we didn't take too long to figure out our orders. The server waited a good while to come by to take our orders. We waited probably for 45minutes to an hour for our brunch to come out. The 6 kids we had ranged from just under 2 years to 15 . They were wondering where the food was the whole time. And when it got to our table some were completely wrong, made wrong. Toast was absolutely hard as a rock. Bacon was so over cooked you can drop it and it would break apart. Eggs tasted terrible aswell. I was so hungry I just ate what I could and left. I didn't want to wait any longer! The only time we saw our server was when she took our drink order then our lunch order. Never saw her before our food came out which was a good while. I would not come back here again. Just ruined my mother's day. Everyone at the table did not like their meals. That says alot coming from 4 adults that have worked and currently work in the restaurant industry. You’re going to read reviews here about how the music is too loud from the band. Yes the band can be a bit loud but if you don’t want live music, don’t go to places with live music. Anyways, the staff are great here and the food is as well. It’s not more pricey than anything else out there; it is on par with other establishments. If you don’t like the prices, stop voting for Liberals. I’ve been to this place twice now and both times the food was great. What’s also nice about this place is that they have giant chicken wings. Bigger than any I have seen at other places charging the same amount. They charge by the 10’s. If the wings happen to be smaller that day, they give you more than 10 to make up for it. THAT is what you won’t see at other places. This chef takes pride in his food and it shows. To give this place a 1 star because they forgot to put sides on the side and they put it on top is you being a baby. To quote Dumb and Dumber “Oh, Well pardon me Mr. PERFECT!!
