If there was an option for -5 stars, this place would be the first to get one. This location always has an issue with it. Long wait times inside and outside, wrong orders, missing items, on top of rude and clueless staff.
Today, September 9th 2023, at 9:15. We went through the drive through. We paid for pur order and pulled up to the window. The woman at the window wasn't very welcoming, but considering it's a late night, we thought nothing of it. She handed us the drinks, then 5 minutes later, she handed us out take out bag. My boyfriend asks her "is everything inside?" And she replied with "yes". I checked the bag, because as you know, mcdonalds at this location ALWAYS forgets something. Lo and behold, we are missing a big mac. We catch the attention of the lady and she asks "the big mac is missing?" We said yes. She said "it's missing? It can't be" and proceeded to get Farzhana (unsure of exact spelling). Farzhana goes on to ask another 4 times that we can't be missing our big mac, that we never paid for a big mac and is implying that we're trying to get something for free. We said she can check our bag and receipt, that we've paid for a big mac but it wasn't given in the bag. She then said that it can't be. So we gave her the bag back so she could check and she started freaking out saying we threw the bag at her (we did not, we held the bag out the window until they grabbed it, how could we have thrown it when it was already in her hands?) And yet she's still denying that we ever bought a big mac in the first place. When we said we wouldn't steal a big mac as she was implying, she kept interrupting us. As clients, she should be letting us speak, we just took the bag from you! How could we have eaten a whole burger in .5 seconds??? Does McDonald's need to check our whole car to find that missing burger? We asked for her name and she said she couldn't give an F@!k if we complained about her to her superiors with a try-me and arrogant attitude as she slammed our bag onto the metal counter (completely squashed our cheeseburger by the way) and threw the big mac on top. She then ran away screaming her head off while we sat in the car with no idea what's happening. The original window lady (she looks like a carbon copy of this Farzhana girl, might be related) then grabs our bag slams it into my boyfriend's hand and refused to let go of our food that mind you, WE PAID FOR, then giving us a dirty look before letting go.
McDonald's, as a big company, you should work on having your staff trained in customer service....
Read moreI'm okay with errors or mistakes, so long as they are rectified. This location has many, and most I've let slide. I show up this evening, and pull up to the drive through. I see two cars, one in each lane and 5 or so have already ordered and waiting in queue. The car on the right goes through, so I reverse and take that lane. A couple of minutes pass, and the left car goes through. Up comes a van, taking the left lane (I'm still waiting on the right side) and as soon as the van pulls up - the employee asks them what their order will be. They complete their order, and I wait. And wait. And wait for about 6 minutes before someone takes my order. They van was third to the window to pick up their food before my order was taken. After having ample time to check the new coupons - I order a classic poutine with a McDouble. I keep my cool, order and go through. I wait in queue, and finally get to the window. A young man who isn't in uniform, who also took my order - opens the drive through door. Confirms my order, and I present him with my coupon. He scans, and then says the system doesn't accept it. I said okay, let me reload the app - and you can rescan it. Same thing, he just shrugs his shoulders and proceeds to ask for the full amount. I said, you can't enter the coupon code, or just manually remove the discount of the bill? He says no. Me being a manager, and my three siblings previously managing McDonald's franchises - I know there is an override of some sort. He proceeds to get the manager, who does the same exact thing as the young man did before him. Shrugs off the problem and proceeds to ask for the full amount. I repeat, and ask for them to manually enter a discount - as the coupons dates are valid, and these are indeed coupons for the province of Quebec. Read moreI've been a loyal McDonald's customer for years, but my recent experiences at this location have been incredibly disappointing. Despite the brand's reputation for quick service, I've consistently found the service here to be painfully slow. Even during non-peak hours, the wait time is excessively long. It feels like the staff are in no rush to serve customers, which is incredibly frustrating.
The management is a whole other issue. The manager at this location clearly lacks the necessary skills to run an efficient operation. Their inability to manage the staff and ensure smooth service flow is evident. It's disappointing to see such a lack of leadership. It almost feels like the manager has failed at life and ended up here by default, rather than through any semblance of competence or skill.
Adding to the frustration, my orders are frequently incorrect. Whether it's a missing item, wrong size, or entirely different order, there's always something wrong. It's baffling how a place that prides itself on consistency can mess up so consistently.
To anyone considering working here, I'd advise you to stay in school and aim higher. This place seems like a dead-end job, a fallback for those who couldn't make it elsewhere. The quality of service and food has hit an all-time low, even after five years of giving this location multiple chances. It’s disheartening to see this decline.
While I appreciate the diverse group of employees, it’s clear that high diversity alone doesn't compensate for poor training and management. Diversity should enhance the workplace, not be used as an excuse for subpar performance.
