What a lovely local discovery! We aren’t familiar with the area and I just looked up breakfast restaurants near me—Google Maps was actually taking me to ‘Restaurant L’EggsOeufs’, but it turned out to be L’œuf Cochon. We were warmly received, staff was very sweet with my young child and even offered him some fresh blueberries out of a basket that had just been dropped off by a local farmer. As a regular brunch-goer, this is a great spot, very affordable compared to many chains. Large portions, great coffee selection (yes, a functional espresso machine and almond milk options!), and most of all, really delightful staff. If you enjoy rye bread, it’s one of their basic bread options too. Service was very quick, even if the restaurant was busy. Lots of staff around looking to help out. Some of the cleanliness leaves to be desired, but overall, great local spot. We will definitely be back.

I give a solid 4 stars to this place. I had the eggs benedict Boisé. Poached eggs, ham, mushrooms, spring onions, and Swiss cheese covered with a great hollandaise sauce plus fruits and home made patatos. Everything was great, and they gave huge portions which a plus. The only reason I took out one star is because the english muffin wasn't as fluffy as expected. The staff gave a good service. MVP would be the owner. She started as hostess and gave us our table. She was doing the take-out orders, and she cleaned a table next to us when the client left. Price was reasonable. This place is worth the try. We will be going again.

The only thing that had a taste in th3 eggs benedict plates were the potatoes and fruits. The hollandaise sauce and eggs, as well as the toppings, barely tasted like anything. My partner and I couldn't finish our plates even if we added salt. It was only texture, which ended up making me gag- I had went there 3 years ago and I was very good. Not sure if we received a bad batch of ingredients or what changed since then, but sadly I'll never come back again. Can't say for the rest of their menu, but coffee and potatoes were really good !

Poor Service and Misleading Tipping Pressure

I recently dined at [Restaurant Name], and while I was looking forward to a good meal, the experience was disappointing due to how the staff handled tipping.

After finishing my meal, the server pressured me into leaving a tip, claiming they were paying 15% in taxes. This reasoning felt misleading because they were referring to income tax—something every working individual pays. Tipping is meant to reflect the quality of service, not to cover standard tax obligations.

When I went to the front desk to address this, I was told the staff were being paid less than minimum wage, which contradicts standard wage practices. To my understanding, employees in similar roles earn an average wage, and it was frustrating to hear inconsistent explanations.

I believe in tipping for good service, but being guilt-tripped with misleading information is unprofessional and makes the dining experience uncomfortable. Tipping should be a choice, not an obligation forced through pressure and dishonesty.

I hope management addresses this issue and ensures their staff are trained to treat customers with respect. Until then, I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this...

Came here with high hopes, having loved this restaurant in previous years. Was very pleased at first as the food was great, but I ended up eating moldy cantaloupe. When I mentioned this to my waitress, she said sorry and nothing more. She was visibly upset when it came time to pay, like very mad (due to the cantaloupe situation). She added the discount I get with work at this restaurant, and when I asked to replace the moldy fruit, she argued with me, saying she applied the discount to the whole meal instead of just my meal. She visibly got mad and asked if I preferred the 'two pieces of fruit' or the discount. While paying, she was peeking over at my tip percentage and said I need to tip more because she 'pays out of (her) own pocket'. Very dissapointed with the service and attitude I got, I would have come back if I was...
