Found this place through social media - we had lunch here on Saturday Feb 22nd, place was completely packed, a line was forming out the door. We waited a good half hour or more before we could order our food.
The restaurant is a small joint with a take out counter and some available seating, just like a fast food concept where you order first and then grab a seat.
We tried a classic pork gyro and regular poutine which were equally delicious. This restaurant is wildly popular lately on social media for serving large portions and fresh cheese curds for their poutine. Our experience did not disappoint.
The cheese is the best part, this is plentiful and fresh, the curds squeek as they should. The fries are crispy, but not the traditional double fried variety you may find at La Belle Pro or similar joints. The poutine sauce wasn't too salty but may be a bit too runny for some.
The overall service from the staff working there, pricing and portion were all amazing. We were very impressed with how great value our lunch was.
Highly recommend if you are a big poutine fan, however beware of long lines these days. Try to come outside of lunch hour or a weekday if possible.
Note they do offer free parking but the lot is very small, there is space for less...
Read moreI came here with my cousin Alex, for the first time today (well couple of hours ago for dinner, for helping him move a freezer in NDG.)
He talked the place up to me all the time, so I finally tried it and I am glad he brought me.
The service is polite, respectful and honestly really outgoing. We used to always go to the competitors Alfa-Hot-Dog and honestly just such a more relaxed and stress-free environment/energy at this place.
The Owner & Co-owner are two of the nicest people I have met. Super smiley and talkative, we saw them at our regular spot often. It's nice to see them out and creating something new with their knowledge and very polite and professional staff.
Now the food. The souvlaki is melt in your mouth tasty, it has a great combination of flavors both salty & sweet with a hint of spice, not enough to hurt you but enough to make you say "Mmmm."
The fries are cooked to perfection and it's not as if the oil they cook them in is old. The fries always taste fresh as is and is quite a treat to the pallet.
I'd say this is by far one of the best places in Longueuil/South Shore to pop by and grab some super amazing grub as well as having welcoming faces when you walk in.
Reste comme-vous même à Votre Maison! (Sorry little...
Read moreAfter seeing Olivier Primeau’s review, I decided to check out the hype for myself. The place was pretty packed.
There was a lineup, but it moved fast—only had to wait about 5–10 minutes. I tried the poutine only, and it was solid. It came out warm with a great amount of sauce and a generous portion of cheese. Probably the most cheese I have ever seen in a poutine lately. They use really good quality cheese, which makes a big difference. I’d rate the poutine an 8 out of 10.
The poutine reminded me of what Belle Province used to taste like (back in the days)
I find a lot of places have dropped in quality or changed their style, but this one brought back that classic taste.
I also tried Grégoire recently, and honestly, for me, Votre Maison is way better.
Votre Maison is honestly a great poutine that’s not too expensive.
Overall Votre Maison is worth a visit and is a Great place for takeout. I wouldn’t dine inside because personally it feels too crowded and it’s pretty tight/small inside the restaurant. If you are having a hard time finding parking. Park at the Mcdonalds right across the...
