I was excited to see a Greco opening up in Sackville, I've only had Greco once before in Truro, where I had a slice and I was not impressed can't remember why. But I always give a place more then one try.
But back on point, once this Greco opened and I had a chance to get there I tried it of course! I ordered a large pizza with 3 cheese flavored crust, and dry cured pepperoni, bacon & sausage.
What I got was the 2nd most greasy pizza I have ever ate. I'll tell you the most greasy pizza I ever ate later in this review.
But yeah my girl friend did not eat all her slices I stomached them down but I will admit it was a little difficult.... If it was not so greasy it would of been a good pizza, if i ignore the grease the ingredients taste good!
I tried there fish and chips next time, some would say the fish was overcooked but for me i actually like my fish cooked well! But it was okay, it could of had some more flavor going for it tho. I would eat there fish & chips again but I am worried if the staff can handle cooking it proper the next time.
So i ordered another pizza as my second chance policy. This pizza was a large dried cured pepperoni pizza with stuffed mozza crust and flavored garlic & parmesan. I wanted to try stuffed crust, and figured only one topping would prevent it being greasy like before.
For the most part it was no where near as greasy perhaps because of less toppings, (later they prove toppings are not the reason there pizza so greasy) But yeah it still was greasy... but I could eat it easily. I gave it a pass hoping they would improve some more the next time i ordered a pizza.
I ordered a pizza soon afterwards because my gf found out they had stuffed donair mozza crust and she really wanted to try that. So a few days later i ordered the same pizza as mentioned above but with the one difference being donair mozza stuffed crust, but everything else the same....
This pizza was the most greasy pizza i have ever had, and i don't know why or how.... With only the one topping i did not think this was possible. It was way more greasy then the first pizza and it had 3 meats on it....
Plus it gets worse... whoever handled the dough had no idea what he/she was doing and should of been trained better and supervised as they made this pizza, because the dough was ruined! I feel like they were tying to attempt to toss the dough or something because some spots of the dough on the done pizza was so thin i could see though it! Seems like they stretched it out in allot of different places and seems like this would of been done by someones fingers clumsily trying to toss the pizza dough out or something.... The whole dough/crust was more thin then usual but multiple areas where there was barely anything there and i could see the toppings on the other side.
That plus the uneditable level of grease on this pepporoni pizza... its like they poured grease onto it...... I simply don't know how this was managed...
What i had to do to try to save this pizza and not waste it the next day (after only eating one slice) I wrapped the pizza in paper towel patted off as much as possible then microwaved it and patted off allot more... Now it was only as greasy as the first pizza.... super greasy.... but I could at least eat it.... nothing will fix the crust/doe below the toppings where it basically was see through...
But if the management reads this.... please correct this grease issue.... maybe some people like super greasy pizza.... I don't.... but there's weird people out there.... I had 3 pizzas all 3 were very different.... I feel that has to do with the staff you have working for you... i think some know what there doing other's do not... But it's either time to retrain or replace... Don't forget even at the best with the 2nd pizza i had it was quite greasy... idk if that's a Greco thing to expect.... but the first and the last pizza i have that can't be normal.... it was sickening...
I will try your pizza again once more a few months later in hopes this is corrected. if not I will...

Last Friday I ordered online at 5:30PM for pickup. Called the restaurant to see when I could get it, but the phone was just ringing busy. Decided to go down at 6:00pm'ish because my wife had an appointment to get to at 7PM. Well when I got there they were lined up out the door, every table had people sitting at them, etc, however no one had food.
I manage to get to the counter and ask about my order and am quickly told it's not even being prepped yet, and it will be a half hour. Fine, I can live with that, they look busy. I wait another 40 or so minutes and ask again, but again am told that my order is still not even being made yet.
Now I am getting angry because I know my wife wants pizza, I told her I would have it, and these people are now testing my patients. I asked the girl at the counter why she told me it would be 30 minutes when she clearly had no concept of prep time, to which she tells me "That's what we're told to say". At this point I cancel my order and leave. The funny part was the girl who ordered AFTER me got her order and was gone before I even got to the point of cancelling my order. I get home and have nothing for my wife and son who are hungry so I called PizzaDelic and from phone call to delivery was 15 minutes. It was too late though as my wife had to go.
Now here is the interesting part, I supplied this feedback to Greco on their Facebook on the grand opening post about their Lower Sackville location, beneath the swath of other negative comments, and horrendous pictures of terrible food that wouldn't even be fit for a dog. Greco responded to me to email some Sharon girl, which I already did at this point. They also decided it was best to delete all the negative feedback others posted. This was Friday when I emailed her, I am still waiting for a response after multiple emails and its end of day Tuesday.
My feedback for this restaurant, well, it's like I told about 20 other people today at Sobeys when I overheard them asking someone about the new "Greco". Stay away, stay far far away. Close the doors to the place and throw away the key, also overall customer service from the corporate end of Greco, absolutely horrendous. Don't expect them to help you or come good on their shortfalls. They will give you empty answers, and never come through on anything. I was a customer of 15 years. I was just going to avoid this one restaurant, now I am going to avoid ALL Greco locations because of the poor oversight by the corporate folks.
Edit: Corporate called me and made no excuses and owned the issue. They have convinced me to give it another try and I am...
Read moreDespite every single review on Google being 1 star out of 5, and every one of those reviews warning us to steer clear because this particular branch can take up to several hours to prepare your order, and sometimes not at all, we decided to give them a try.
These reviews did not mislead us, and I wish I had listened.
We ordered a party pizza with donair and mozza stuffed crust. The lady on the other line told us they didn't have donair and mozza stuffed crust at their location, despite their online ordering site giving us that option for this specific location. She said they didn't have pepperoni and mozza stuffed either. Which makes no sense to me, do they have donair meat? Pepperoni slices for their pizzas? If the answer is yes to either, then I can't see why they can't honor their options on their online ordering site.
It took us an hour and a half to get our order delivered to us, when we live only 10 minutes away. When I called at the one hour mark, I was placed on a hold that lasted 10 minutes. I hung up and tried to call back to get their attention and advise them that I would be cancelling my order and going with another pizza place, and I kept getting a busy signal.
I gave up went on my computer to pull up the menu for the next pizza place on my list. Just as we were putting together our order to call them, Greco pulled into our driveway. The driver didn't have any change on him, he just expected a tip. When he realized he wasn't getting one, he had to "go to his car" and stayed there for 10 minutes "looking for change for us." We eventually got our change back.
The pizza wasn't even worth the wait, as the dough was under-cooked.
We will not be ordering here again. Which is a shame, because I love Greco. But I did not love...
