Jinloong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lower Sackville

Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days but we were feeling like a treat. :)

My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha

I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give extra stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly.

If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon.

My partner and I were in the mood for Chinese takeout tonight and after seeing so many positive reviews decided to try this place for the first time. As soon as we got home and excitedly opened the containers I knew I had to write one too.

My first impressions were that it's a cute, cozy little spot with friendly and efficient service. Our order was prepared quickly and was accurate. Great so far!

And then there's the food. I really should have taken photos because man was it pretty. We ordered 2 of the largest combo plates that were different enough that between us we could try several of the sides.

Everything tasted just as good as it looked and the portion size is huge. Talk about value for money. Delicious, fresh, appetizing... everything perfectly cooked. We agreed they were probably the best combo plates either of us have ever had. Seriously. Trust the hundreds of reviews, do yourself a favour...

This is the worse food I have ever eaten. Was there 1 hr ago and ordered #5 combo. Egg roll, chicken fried rice and general tao chicken. The rice was quite bland but, even worse, was the general tao chicken. This was a gooey, mushy, undercooked, absolutely tasteless dish. I can't believe a Chinese restaurant can mess this dish up so bad. I called to complain (and I also wanted to make sure that it was chicken, cause it did not taste like chicken) and the young man that answered the phone became ignorant immediately and told me HIS restaurant was not the place for me. I wonder if the owner would have the same response or would they even care their employee was so rude to a paying customer. I had to give this 1 star to post but they don't deserve even that. Bad food and even worse customer service for this...
