We were so disappointed with our experience with Aqua Master. They were weeks late with their projected start date, meaning the rest of trades people had to be pushed back. They came on a day when we had torrential downpours and completely tore up our front yard and put down gravel for the excavator. When they initially explained the work that would be done, they said we would just have to throw down some topsoil and grass seed when they were done. However, it took weeks for us to completely reslope our lawn again and take up all of the gravel. They even ripped up the sod on our neighbor's lawn and left it for us to deal with. When I called to bring this to their attention, they eventually did pay to cover the cost of sod for our neighbor's property only, but we still had to do all of the labor. The subcontractors they hired took out the internet cables for our neighbors and then just drove off. However, the biggest disappointment was the fact that the pool they put in did not meet code for HRM! Our assumption was the pool would meet code, but I guess that's on us... The pad they built up for the pool to sit on was too steep and we had to invest close to $10,000 more to have a land surveyor come and an engineer to draw up the plans. Then we had to buy Gabion baskets and surge rock and create a retaining wall etc... ourselves. They didn't take the time to flatten out the pad before they installed the pool, so the bottom of our pool is extremely bumpy, which means we can't use a pool robotic vacuum to clean it. They left cigarette butts and garbage lying around at the end of each day, which we had to pick up. When we would call to ask for updates, or to point out an error the owner wouldn't call us back for several days, saying they were really busy. We were so looking forward to having a pool, but it has just ended up being a huge headache and...
Read moreWaiting for service My husband and I went into Aqua master Lower Sackville today got there at 1pm. I waitied and waited for service. There was an older gentalman and 2 workers there getting parts I am assuming installers. After some time of waiting was I spoken to by the gentalman. As I was standing in the store waiting to be served I could see someone sitting at a desk in the the back office Stairing at a computer she was not on the phone. Then the phone rang she answered that and was on the phone forever. Meanwhile I am a customer in the store waiting for service and she decided it was more important to take that call then to come out before the phone even rang and serve a customer that was right there. She was not on the phone prior to this because there was no talking you could clearly hear her on the phone after she picked up. I just needed my water tested but I could have been in there to buy a hot tub no one knows cause I was not asked until mins before I left. I could not wait any longer I think standing in the store for 15 mins without service was enough. I will find another hot tub store to go to get my water tested and any other products I may need to buy. You have lost my business and if asked where to go for hot tub needs AQUA MASTER WOULD NOT BE A STORE I SUGGEST. To the man that did aleast acknowledge me Thank You. But the staff that run the front of the store need to be more diligent in coming out when an actual customer comes in the store. I have also worked in retail for over 25 years the customer service was not there at all and if I decided to take a call instead of dealing with a customer infront of me I would have...
Read moreI started out wanting to purchase a pool through Aqua Master until I shopped around and realized they were a scam.
I asked if they price matched…. Simple yes or no. Instead I got an email as if it were like a “he said she said”
I was just hoping to stay local. But I am glad I shopped around for sure. But I should have realized right away when they were charging me $175 for a “site visit”. Apparently they wanted to survey my yard which is was totally fine and after me telling them what they are gonna find they did send someone out. When their guy arrived he was there for 2 min and couldn’t wait 5 min till I got home so I could have a conversation. I paid for this thinking that the install would be cheaper when they had a look. Well to my surprise that didn’t happen. It was top install price of $5300. My yard is a new build meaning NO grass and on FLAT land. When I had asked them they had told me that since they did my 2 minute site assessment on the 25th the material prices went up by the time I got my quote on the 30th. 🙄Another thing that blew my mind was the install went from middle of June to the middle of July…..
I asked for the money they scammed back… with no reply.
I went with another company in the valley at that. And you guessed it…. They don’t even charge me a fee for site visit and over all cheaper. And it’s looking like end of may for my install. They have 30yr exp and NEVER heard of Aqua Master.
