Round up — Restaurant in Maple Creek

Came in on Saturday morning. The place was busy - lots of regulars. Reminded me of coffee row in my own hometown. Waitress didn't like my asking for milk for my coffee. Made us wait and wait while she made two rounds of the place with the coffee pot. Then brought milk. Brought food long after it was done. Asked if we wanted anything else, we said "more coffee". She went and stood behind the counter. Finally asked if she minded if I helped myself. Shrugged. "Sure". Food was good. My nine year old had the hungry man breakfast and loved it. I had the special of the day- BBQ Pork Ribs with Mashed Potatoes. The side was homemade coleslaw. The ribs were nice. Saucy and tender but not a lot of meat on them. The mashed potatoes came with gravy. The potatoes tasted old and needed a bit more flavor. The slaw tasted good, just wish there was more of it. The dessert was 'cheesecake'. This used to be a great place but has since gone downhill. The waitress was horribly rude and abrupt. There were dried feces on the wall in the women's bathroom and the walls were filthy.The coffee was stale, milk was brought instead of cream (with no warning) and the waitress never came back once the food was brought to the table. It was pricey considering the cheap ingredients used. Food was undercooked. They were not busy and now I see why. I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was a...
