The Daily Grind — Restaurant in Maple Creek

Stopped into Maple Creek on our drive from Calgary to Regina. The Daily Grind is a great lunch/coffee stop. We had the soup-of-the-day, Moroccan beef soup, with a biscuit. The soup was flavourful and hearty, with lots of beef and veggies. They bake the biscuits in-house and they were excellent, one of the best biscuits I’ve ever eaten. The lunch was inexpensive. I’m very disappointed with the level of service I have been provided at this location, what used to be a hangout spot has been ruined by the lack of communication and respect and I refuse to eat or bring anyone here from this point on. The most disappointing expensive latte I’ve ever paid for from a place that seems like a quality roastery. I guess they have the market by being in maple creek with no competition, so a $5 bad latte will still be better than the gas station. Plan ahead, prep your own coffee and avoid disappointment.
