Greek Stop — Restaurant in Markham

I ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was absolutely horrible. I do not recommend this specific restaurant if you don't want the rest of your day to be ruined. First of all, the chicken tasted dry and bland as if it was microwaved 5 minutes ago. Secondly, the rice was way too salty and made each bite unbearable without drinking some water. Third, the sauce used on the salad was so soggy. For the bites where I didn't initially drink water to wash down the rice, I tried eating the salad to counteract the flavour. However, the saltiness in my throat just became wet slop and I'd have to drink water anyway. Finally, the potatoes were as bland as the rice and that was really the final straw for me; I didn't end up finishing my meal. I would give 0 stars if I could, this was one of the worst meals...

(I would not recommend this location. I recommend the same company location just up the street from here, near Markham Rd and 16th Ave.)

I found the food at this location very bland. The salad was soggy. The dressing for the salad and the tzatziki sauce was very bland and watered down. The feta cheese is not your normal cubed cheese, it’s shaved cheese, didn’t have taste regardless. The potatoes were very bland and oily. There wasn’t a lot of rice given, mainly just salad. They filled the main part of the to-go container with just lettuce and the “sides” area with potato’s and rice. I found the meat to be tough. I was very surprised at the taste and quality of the chicken souvlaki on a pita and side of roast-potatoes . Everything was authentic greek food. The potatoes were especially good. The chef did an awesome job and was very friendly and courteous. Prices are good but i would say say two tables shouldnt be described as an eat in restaurant. Tighten up the tsiziki sauce as its a bit too thin and I would have given you a five star review. Good luck . You...
