Hero Certified Burgers — Restaurant in Markham

I had such a pleasant experience here earlier tonight. My sister and I stopped by for dinner and we were so satisfied with everything! The lady at the front counter was amazing! So genuine and cheerful, you can tell she enjoys her job and enjoys interacting with people. I love that they have a separate gluten free menu, which made it so quick and easy to decide what to order. I did the build your own burger combo. I tried the gluten free bun and poutine as a side and OMG honestly the best gluten free burger and poutine I’ve had in a long time! It was so tasty and fresh! I’ve never had a fried egg on my burger before but I’m so happy I tried it I loved it!! The bun was delicious and held together really well. They’re really generous with the burger toppings, the sauces were spilling out and messy but in a good way haha. Also generous with the poutine gravy and cheese, every fry was coated I didn’t have to mix the poutine at all!! So nice to be able to enjoy a poutine with gluten free gravy, I can’t get that from many places. Amazing quality and worth the price. It was also a very short wait time, maybe 5 minutes. Not too bad for a franchise burger place. Not bad at all. I've gone back for a different type of burger. You know, there's nothing g better than being able to have a say in what goes on your burger. It's been done before, however, Hero seems to have more selection of dressings for your specific tastes. Some of it is even a little more exotic than the average "choose your topping" variety. Such as cheeses that aren't offered anywhere else and sauces of the same nature. What's even better is you have multiple choices when it comes to how much beef you want. I'm not 100% sure of the numbers but there is definitely 4oz, 6oz and 8oz options. The 6er being your average patty size I think. I believe I also had a poutine last time and was it ever filling. Whoa boy. Make sure you have an appetite because you get a lot of food with a combo so don't waste food. I recommend going in with a friend order 1 combo and 1 a la carte and split the fries. Uber eats wrong item.

I did uber eats for this last night and it was advertised that a combo includes a 20oz drink. Instead I got a 355ml drink, which was basically 12oz and the store doesn’t contact me before hand so I end up getting the order as it is. When I called the store around 10pm, a female answered the call and she told me to come in person for a free fountain drink? If thats the case why am I ordering uber eats?? Obviously I can’t pickup food so I had to order online. I’m here sick at home and you guys want me to come sick into your store for something the store messed up on? based on uber eats policies they should contact customer if they can’t give the right items but clearly this store has no clue about their uber eats policies.
