I am completely in shock. What happened today is unbelievable. I was in line around 6 waiting to be assisted, and there was a group of three women at the front of the line. One of them had already been helped, and when one of the young lady approached to serve the next customer (since there were many of us waiting), one of those ladies started demanding that the same girl help her again. The girl explained that the other employee would continue taking their orders because she had already assisted them, and one of the women started yelling at her, saying she had to serve her too. I mean, there were many of us waiting in line, and there were only three employees working in the restaurant……did these women seriously expect all three of them to serve only them?
Here’s my main point: these ladies stood there for ten whole minutes literally insulting the girl. And how is it possible that the manager was there and she didn’t know how to handle the situation? How could it be that those women and a younger one with them, were insulting a restaurant worker, and the manager just let it happen? I was honestly disgusted by how they were treating her, and I can’t believe the manager didn’t ask them to leave. How is it possible she didn’t even call security? It’s incredible how little they care about their employees, and I truly felt bad for the girl. Itrust this matter will be taken with the seriousness...
Read moreMy feedback comes with decades of experience at Jimmy locations in the GTA and believe me when I say I want to give this location a higher rating, but simply cannot due to nothing else but the quality of food. I will give the owners the benefit of the doubt as they may or may not have a benchmark against which to measure their food, so here is some feedback I'm hoping they'll take into consideration as I really do want to see this place succeed. For starters, I would recommend they look to their sister counterpart at the Hillcrest location as a gold standard given their food is far and away better than what Markville has to offer. Take the roast chicken -- where Hillcrest's roast chicken is consistently fresh and the meat is never dry, Markville's is always dry and stringy with the consistency akin to canned meat. The difference is night and day. The only thing holding the Markville location back is the food quality. I know they spent a few months renovating and I'm wondering if that budget would have been better spent on improving cooking methods/quality of ingredients as opposed to the shiny new screens hanging under the marquee banners that do very little to leave...
Read moreAs a fan of the Jimmy the Greek chain of restaurants, I can attest that this location of the restaurant, its quality of service and food at this Jimmy the Greek location in Markville Mall is horrendously awful. Untrained staff, mushy rice and potato, over cooked protein and all in all the worst possible experience that you can have for this type of cuisine. It’s worthy to mention that you must keep an extremely careful eye out for pieces of food that must have been discarded during preparation, but were cooked and served nonetheless. The rotten and blacked out pieces of potato in this photo are testament to these claims, even though the manager at the till pretended that these were charred and not in fact rotten. Stay away from this specific location but do give other locations like Sheppard Centre, Centerpoint Mall or Hill Crest Mall a try.
Ordered 2 chicken souvlaki dinners with 2 bottles of water and an extra tzatziki sauce, for a whopping $40. What a waste of money,...
