Sushi Q Markville Mall — Restaurant in Markham

Horribly disgusting, soggy and rotten avocados in the California rolls and sushi. Food court sushi is understandably not the same grade as a restaurant , however this is not what I am referring to. I am talking about hygiene, freshness of product and the sushi product overall. The rice is a disgusting soggy mess and should be ashamed to even be called sushi. How can sushi rice be soaking in water? Why is the avocado blackened and sour tasting? Just looking at the pools of god knows what kind of water, in the corners of my sushi tray makes me want to throw up. Completely unacceptable, it is not food at all. Extremely upsetting, both mentally and physically. If I could give no stars, that would be the appropriate and acceptable rating...

If you want to purchase a used Ramen soup then this is the place...Let's just sat the staff sold an opened and returned soup order to a waiting customer. Could not believe my eyes. How does a place of business do that....The returned soup was the wrong order. Throw it out do not pass it along to another customer by adding in the seafood to make it look fresh. Called the location manager never in. Head office does not have a number to leave a message. Sent 2 emails never heard back from them. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FOOD FROM THIS LOCATION. IF THEY TRIED TO SELL AN OPEN USED SOUP WHAT ARE THEY DOING THAT THE PUBLIC CAN NOT SEE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT TO MENTION...

Came here to eat at around 6-ish on a Friday - got their long green dragon sushi. It was solid and tasted good, a tad bit pricey but was still not bad of a deal because it was 20% off.

I'm giving them four stars for their customer service - person at the register was extremely friendly and helpful, even when I came back and asked if they had veggie rolls leftover to take home, after they sold out. They made a fresh one just for me in a couple minutes, and it tasted delicious! They're also one of the few healthier options at Markville with a simple and easy-to-understand concept and menu. Will be coming...
