This review isn’t about me eating at this location. This review is about how caring the staff at this MCD is.
I had car trouble and was trying to figure out what was wrong.
I decided to take a few minutes to think and maybe let the car just rest.
I told the guy and the girl at the drive through window that I was having car trouble. They said for me to take my time and to ask them if I needed any help.
The other staff members gathered with the window staff to discuss what was happening.
The manager gave me a coffee to help me stay warm.
Two of the employees asked if they could take a look at the car. I said sure. They came outside and asked me what was happening. One seemed to know more about cars. They discussed possible solutions. They tried a car a could times. Then they tried again and the car reluctantly started and stayed on.
One of them moved the car from the drive through lane to the main parking.
They asked how far I had to go. I said Victoria Park and Lawrence. They gasped at the distance I needed to go. They suggested how I should cautiously make it home.
I thanked them and they said to be careful.
The car did stall one time in the way but with some encouragement it started again.
I made it home and will discuss the problem with my mechanic.
I want to thank all the staff. All of them were concerned and wanted the best for me.
The manager reduced my stress by using comforting words and allowing the staff to help me.
The window girl came out to check on me.
Thank you to the two guys who came to my car to try to help. They did get the car going
The time was about 1 or 2 am.
The drive through is efficient. Everyone is polite and helpful.
All the staff members acted like a family to help me in my time of need.
Again, I’d like to thank the staff from the manager down. You made a stressful situation more comfortable. I feel like I was...
Read moreA great place. Good food, good service but average customer service by the morning crew. Usually the lady in the first window of drive thru is kind. however the second window lady named Shanta or Shanty, I believe doesn't even say Good Morning not even a Hi. She will just hand you your order (which by the way has been correct each time) or tell you to wait at drive thru parking spot 1 or 2. I know she has it in her to say Hi at least or even have a good day. There is also a young man who does drive thru in the mornings and he seriously can use some training in greeting customers. It sounds like he is half asleep, rude, he is just in a hurry to get your order over with like his life is extremely difficult. I remember once I accidentally named out the wrong sandwich and instead of saying "excuse me?" he said "What did you say?" in a demeaning manor.
There are many people who are having a good day or having bad day. A simple smile and tone with the customer goes a long way. You have to kill them with kindness. No matter what problems I had I would forget them for the 8 hours of work. You never know with your amazing customer service you can just make someones day!
I've worked my fair share of customer service jobs and that is how I learned that your tone, smile, and mannerism of speaking makes a huge impact on whether the customer wants to come back to this place or not.
Its absolutley free to smile or even say "Thanks for coming by" or even "Have a good day"
I was a regular here but I've since changed over to another restaurant, very unfortunate.
2 stars for food and efficiency
Update
The morning crew has gotten better.
I just purchased my family's meal ($60) worth here. 4 mcchicken sandwiches and all of the meat was terrible. Extremely hard to chew and cooked way in advance. Back down...
Read more🆘 Sunday September 15, 2018 they were short staffed and my wife was asked to wait "over there", there were NO parking spots. Twelve minutes waiting an angry customer hit her windshield and cursed her; he was upset about where she was told to wait had interfered with his parking. 📸 My 4'11" wife took a picture of the car and plate and called #911. When he went inside she walked over to the drive thru window to ask for a manager. The manager was to busy to come, but my wife was blocking drive thru, so he came! He asked if she was ok and apologized. He also gave her a free Big Mac and Extra value meal coupons. ♿️ The girl at the window suggested she use the handicapped spot to continue to wait. My wife replied that she not handicapped and that's NOT legal. My wife continued to wait where she was instructed to. Another eight minutes and the order came to the car. Fortunately the order came before the man, ( a word I use loosely ) came out. I would have expected the manager to wait with her until the order was delivered and she was safely on her way. ⚠️ You should be able to manage the staff and or schedule for the hockey, soccer, swimming and community centre rush. You also need to ensure the safety of your customers while waiting at the drive thru by having designated and enforced spots. Two of the three entrances require walking in front of drive thru traffic with parked car blind spots or incoming community centre traffic with no stop sign. Made worse when your delivery truck blocks the lane and the stop sign. In the event that something should happen, I've put this out there so YOU KNOW about the perceived concerns at this location. 🍔 Too make a bad situation worse, our order was both cold and wrong, so only two of the...
