I love supporting small businesses — but this was straight-up disappointing and borderline insulting.
I paid $10 for a strawberry iced latte from SZ, and I wish I had walked away. If I had known how small the cup was, I never would’ve bought it. It was tiny — barely a few sips — and not even remotely worth the price.
I literally watched the lady make it: she poured in some regular coffee, added cold milk, and tossed in chopped-up strawberries. That’s it. No syrup, no blending, no attempt to elevate the flavours — just basic ingredients thrown into a cute-looking cup. There was no cohesion or taste — just bitterness from the coffee and weird sourness from the strawberries. It was like they cared more about the aesthetic than the actual drink.
The lady working there was really sweet, and that’s the only reason I’m not giving this a one-star review. But let’s be real: this drink was lazy, overpriced, and had zero business being $10. It’s wild to charge that much for something so poorly thought out and so small.
Nice vibes don’t make up for bad product....
Read moreI rarely give bad reviews, but the hot food here was not good and overpriced. The Meat Lasagna was $27 and came in a small portion. It wasn't fresh and looked like it was overheated in a microwave. On the side was a handful of greens without dressing. The Meat Margarita Pizza at $28 tasted better, but also didn't seem fresh. The tomato sauce wasn't moist but caked on and dried up the pizza. You can view my pictures and judge for yourself.
I suspect hot food here isn't prepared fresh but reheated, either in a microwave or oven. I expect more from food at this price point. Another thing I didn't appreciate is that if you look at the pictures of the food posted by the café itself, that it looks vastly different from what I received. I don't believe this to be honest.
Had a Mocha here that was good though. Based on other reviews, it seems like you should stick to drinks...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. This place ruined my morning. I rarely write bad reviews, but this one is well deserved. I ordered a strawberry matcha and a coffee, and instead, they handed me a strawberry coffee – yes, you read that right. Who even thinks that’s okay? When I pointed out the mistake, instead of correcting it, they made me pay extra just to get what I actually ordered – and even that was a disaster. The "iced matcha latte" they gave me was disgusting. I could literally feel clumps of powder in every sip. No smoothness, no flavor – just bitter, gritty, undrinkable sludge. Honestly felt like a scam. And to top it off? I paid $30 for this nonsense. For two tiny drinks in cups that look like they came from a kid’s tea set. Ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Save yourself the frustration. There are so many better cafes around – this one’s not worth your...
