I noticed a lot of complaints about the Eggs Benedict on the menu. I will tell you why.

I came to eat here because I had a craving for Eggs Benedict.

They don't make the hollandaise sauce from scratch. It's in a white bucket and it is powdered hollandaise sauce. They do this to save money and time in preparation but what you end up with is a pale looking, not vibrant hollandaise sauce that is chunky and not smooth. It tastes like garbage.

The other things I have noticed is similar to what everyone else here has already mentioned.

The place is filthy and not cleaned or maintained. Tiles are falling apart.

The owners have a lot of online orders from skip the dishes. One driver came by and said is the food ready? The owner told the driver it would be another 10 minutes. This restaurant is not equipped for skip the dishes. They are just too damn slow and their dine-in customers have to suffer.

I placed my order and it took me damn near 30 mins to get it. That is pathetic considering there was me and this Santa Claus looking guy sitting in the back of the restaurant near the washroom.

I won't be going back here anytime soon. This place needs to close up, have a proper deep clean, renovate the entire restaurant and make the kitchen more functional. They also need to hire another cook and a waitress to serve customers.

They need to prepare sauces from scratch not used prepackaged, powdered garbage.

Save your money and go to a chain restaurant. McDonald's and Burger King serve better...

Service was very quick and attentive. Food was VERY generously portioned and tasted AMAZING! Will definitely be back. The omelettes were huge and came with a giant pancake (which I ended up having to pack with half my omelette).

Edit November 2018: my first impression of this place was very positive. The portion sizes were huge! And it was homey and quaint. Have visited a bunch of times more since I live in the neighbourhood and I must say it gets worse each time. The serving sizes are still as generous as the first visit, but the service is so slow! They have added delivery and pick up services and seem to prioritize those above everything else - - which normally isn't a problem. But they only have one cook and clearly can't manage a long list of orders. The food is not seasoned very well aside from the increasing curry flavour in everything every visit. It's in the hollandaise, it's in the pancake batter.. Just not my cup of tea. And did I mention the flies? HUGE flies swarming you as you wait for over 45 minutes for French toast and an omelette and as you eat. Just not good. There are tons of other options in the area, definitely will NOT...

The restaurant was pretty empty at 11am on a Saturday. We ordered a $17.99 western hash brown omelette with bacon that came with a pancake and $16.99 veggie omelette. The omelettes were great value because they were huge and packed with ingredients and tasted amazing as well. I found it odd that there was a piece of sausage with the western hash brown omelette when I chose the bacon option over the sausage option. The pancake was large and fluffy.

I didn't like that the server offered different drinks right as we sat down and didn't even look at the menu for the prices yet. Otherwise, the service was solid.

The interior wasn't nice like other brunch places, but that wasn't what ruined the atmosphere for me. What really put me off me was seeing a cockroach crawl down the wall and past our table. While seeing one might not suggest there is a serious issue, it raises concerns over cleanliness. My dad told me not to notify the server, but I think I should've done so.

Overall, the restaurant has good food with great value (plus save the tax if you pay with cash), but I want to be assured that the restaurant...

I went to this breakfast spot today because I'm always looking for good breakfast. I will say that the owner was very nice. There were 3 other patrons in the restaurant at the time. Sat down and found that the kitchen where the food is cooked as well as the facility itself is filthy (see attached photo). I am surprised that the Health Inspectors have not closed them down. I got there at 10:00 AM and ordered Eggs Benedict with the peameal on an english muffin and homefries. I didn't get my order until 10:25 AM. Please see the attached photo of my meal. It was unappealing looking, bland and was not enjoyable at all. The filthiness, unappetizing food and slow service will not having me returning anytime soon. Do yourself a favour and save your money. Go elsewhere!

This is our go-to place for brunch in Markham and a hidden gem. Don't let the interior steer you away from checking out this place as the owner makes some amazing food! We've been coming here for years and have loved everything we've gotten. You can't go wrong with anything you order, but we usually get the western hash brown omelette & beef brisket egg benedict. They're also open for dinner and we've been once and tried the prime rib & lasagna! Chef's kiss! Everything is made from scratch and the owner even smokes his own meat! They have weekly specials as well.
