I went to this restaurant after my friend performed in a show, and my other friends and I wanted to treat her to a nice desert. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. First they didnt have enough chocolate waffles for us to eat so my friend had to order something else. They didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. It took about one hour to get the first person’s waffle with ice cream at the table. After bringing the first persons dish, it took them another twenty minutes to bring the second persons waffle, and so on until all 5 of us had our waffles... by the time everyone got their food the ice cream on half of our waffles were completely melted and the waffle was ice cold. In between this we were pressing the call button and we clearly kept watching them clear our request from the screen.... not even coming to us and they never apologized, only said they only had one waffle maker which made no sense since there is about 60 people in that restaurant, many with waffles. At the end they brought the bill and when we went to pay, the lady brought us back $10 change instead of $20. She acted as if she did not understand that she ripped us off, until I told her that we would not leave the restaurant without the proper amount of change. She then got us the correct amount of change. I had a very negative experience at this restaurant and it took us 2 hours just to eat desert. Would not recommend. The food was not even good, though I wouldn’t be able to be a good judge of that since my ice cream was melted and my waffle was ice cold. They still never apologized or offered compensation. If I could give negative...
Read moreWe arrived at 10pm on a Wednesday night and they were still very busy. Wait time was about 10 minutes and we were seated. However, you have to order thru the scan code which took us a while. But with modern technology, I guess this is the way to order food nowadays. I just don't know how the older generation will do.
We didn't have dinner so we made the mistake of ordering rice dishes and udon and that is NOT what they are known for. My son got the curry chicken over rice and my hubby and I shared the picked cabbage with pork belly over rice and both of the dishes was super tiny and NOT worth it for the price. My little guy got the beef udon and it was not great either.
The desserts was a completely different deal. Desserts was super delicious. We got the mango sago with tapioca, cheesecake, ginger milk with mango gluttonous tapioca balls and my favorite, Ube shaved ice with lychee jelly, watermelon and black sesame ice cream. All the desserts was fantastic!
Service was not great. No one check in on us. Didn't get any water. No napkins and they were soooo busy that no one really serviced us I am only able to give 3 stars. 1 star knocked off for terrible rice dishes and 1 star knocked off for the service. I will come back and try again and perhaps my review...
Read moreYesterday we went to have desserts after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. Kids ordered bubble teas and I ordered the rice pudding with coconut milk and fruits for which we pointed similar to the picture on their window. The rice pudding came with no fruit. We thought it was for someone else, the server said we ordered it with no fruit when we didn’t. We didn’t try to go further with it. Then the bubble teas came (the Oreo and Frostbite Taro milk tea in particular) I had asked it to be less sugar. I have a sweet tooth and enjoys desserts but when I tried it before serving them to my kids. I have never ever tried bubble tea that sweet in my life to be honest. It was really hard to enjoy. I asked to get the sugar lessened but apparently by the sound of it they don’t have that option. So I said please do something about it, dilute it with ice or water. It came still super sweet. For a dessert and bubble tea place I believe they should have option of lessening sugar per customer’s preference. Also felts under their chairs would help lessening the noise their...
