Not Impressed at all. When so many people have been telling me it's THE place to go for seafood in my area, I finally opted to give it a try. In all honesty, the food was nasty. The 'roties' section featured dry, overcooked roast beef, the smoked meat was about 6/10. General tao was mixed with old a new (some very dry, some very fluffy/fresh), the crab or lobster salad tasted like fish stock mixed with chili peppers and had the texture of being beyond overcooked. Average macaroni salad, Very dry chicken fingers. Disgustingly salty chow mein, overpowered the already strong flavor of ginger. Having to peel shrimps in the cantonese shrimps was annoying, and they lacked flavor once skin was removed. The macedoine of legumes featured 3 very very dry veggies, carrots, green beans and some yellow thing i refused to put in my mouth. The onion rings were a tad stale, but I at least expected that. The fried spinach had a wonderful flavor once you got past the fact that you were also taking in as much oil per leaf as you were veggie. The fishes, was disgustingly dry. Can barely swallow it, even with the sauce. Only 4 types of premade sushi, and you can tell most of it is old by the color of the seaweed. Im a big sugar fan, I took one look at the cakes and i refused to touch any of them.... the small bowls in the ice cream area either need a magic eraser scrubbing or to be replaced altogether some of them were NASTY. Oh the won ton soup... they need a better noodle recipe(noodle itself undercooked), The meat inside them has absolutely no flavor whatsoever. As far as buffets go... this place would do well to get a 5/10. It cost us 40$ for 2 pepsis 2 adults and a kid, (who wasnt charged for?) which i suppose is average pricing but hey, I can go to Toyos have an amazing soup+a salad+ a main course+ rice bowl+ tea+ desert for the same price, without drinks and be a hell of a lot more satisfied at the flavor and quality of my food, and be just as full as a damm buffet.
Service? It's empty all they do is pick up plates, yet that was difficult for...
Read moreGO GO GO GO!!!!!!! All i can say is go try it. Recently visited and being 256 pounds buffets are my favourite past time. With a body like mine you would not think im a picky eater but im. We were seated right away because i arrived right at 11 and within an hour the place was packed but it didnt feel it. There is so much variety from 7 different types of pizza freshly baked buns..... A meat station where the meat is carved for you.... You can pick from smoke meat roast beef turkey pork roast. Then you have fish spaghetti a pho station.....sushie a giant salad bar and fresh fruit and honestly about 100 different options .......but wait there is more. They say you spell dessert with two s because you always go back for seconds...... Buffet desserts are always dry.....tasteless.......oh not at this buffet so much to choose from alot made fresh and they even have poor mans cake which is a french classic. There is something for everyone and lunch was 12.99 you cant even get a combo at mcdonalds for that. Tell your friends because this place is a gem!!!!! One thing that didnt make sense is how clean the place is its like they were opening for the first time. How can a place be that busy yet kept in tip top conditiins. Congrats to who ever runs this place because it is truly an example of what a...
Read moreDisapointing would be an understatement.. been here a couple of times over the years and the food and service gradually has gotten worse, ordered a Shirley temple that cost us 12$ and ended up just being some bland sparkling water with food colouring...not work even a dollar.. we also paid 35$ in the entrance when the price was 33.33$ ....we never got our change.. If it wasnt for the staff members i would've dropped my score down to a 1 the staff are nice and enjoyable to be around, clearing the table wasn't an issue as once i was done with my plate not even a couple of minutes after i got up to go get some more food my old plate was already gone (which is good) The food is disgusting and unseasoned..the owner should definetly invest in better quality food or at least just a spice rack..we had eggs and they tasted more like mushy cardboard than anything else.. AVOID AT ALL COST the poutine, 2nd time having it and 2nd time throwing up because of it.. in terms of poutine their poutine HAS to be the worst I've ever eaten in all my years on this earth. The cheese sticks had the exact same issue along with being bland. This restaurant has alot of work to do in terms of their food..changing the menu once in a while wouldn't hurt either.. they usually serve your typical run of the mill...
