Chocolate Shop — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

My wife & I had a layover in Medicine Hat and we were recommended a TOP Dinner … CHOCOLATE SHOP - Betty Boop themed… so brought you back to the good Ol’ days… we had two breakfast specials for $10.00 / person included the following : 2 eggs options of bacon or sausage of tomato slices with EPIC hash browns (shredded or home style potatoes grilled..) mmmmm , white or brown toast COFFEE also included! As well as we included their buttermilk pancake which was DELISH!!!

Just a 5 min drive from the highway … the owner Tracy & her husband were so kind and informative .

We both definitely recommend making this a MUST stop for anyone to stop enjoy, make sure to take pictures and indulge in some great home cooking eats!

I was excited to try out this place when my parents came into town this week because they love old diners. The excitement ended when the waitress came to the table to take our orders. She was probably the rudest waitress I’ve ever dealt with. Multiple eye rolls and sighs when simple questions were asked about the menu, a shrug of the shoulders when she was asked what type of tea they had, and a complete prescience of us being there was putting her out! What gives? The food was mediocre, just typical diner food, a little expensive for what it was. But a sour taste was left in my mouth when we left with the service or lack there of that was given! Had breakfast there reasonably early on a Saturday morning, but it was already bustling. Food was good, and plenty of it. They had gluten-free pancake options that were filling, and free refills on the coffee. The pleasant but clearly busy server said she outs in about 30,000 steps on a given day, and I believe it. Tables, cutlery, plates bowls and cups were all spotless. Prices were okay for what you get. Didn't check out the bathrooms but companion did and said they were clean.
