AWESOME PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love seeing first nation stuff and this is an awesome place! It's like starbucks but you can eat food!!!! how awesome is that! They serve breakfast, lunch, and slight dinner. They also have merch and washrooms are apparently clean!

-1 star because they ran out of the bannock! NOOOOOooOO!!!!

UPDATE: April 16, 2019, 3:44pm Stopped by after a long drive. Fried Bread Tipi Tacos, Corn Bean Taco tastes the same as Chipotle. Sorry it does but without the heaviness that comes with Chipotle good.

Still has great ambiance and I would still bring friends here. The middle washroom is now a bit used but it does have a change room inside. The farthest washroom is clean. They also have a sign that says how to Wash your hands.

Finally tried the Bannock and it's good. Soft and tasty pretzel/churos. That's about it. Sorry but it is. For $3 the snack is a bit of a high price to pay for soft bread. In any case, it's still a good try if you have never been here before.

They have free water, wifi, cream/sugar/milk/cream for coffee and tea. They have couches to lounge around and outdoor metal table and seats for summer goers.

I won't be changing my 4 🌟 because it's just a bit expensive for the fresh Bannock. But it's a good...

We were really looking forward to eating here because of all the good reviews but left extremely disappointed.

First off, they were extremely inefficient and it took forever to get our food. It wasn't that busy, with approximately 4-5 other tables in the restaurant. We had to wait over 30 mins to get our food after ordering. We had 3 couples in our party that ordered separately and they somehow got all our orders wrong. When we went up to ask them to correct our order, they gaslit us and said "that's correct" instead of fixing it. Our friend with a dairy allergy asked for no sour cream, but they put it on anyway. When we asked them to re-make it, they got frustrated and told us that it would take "at least another 20-30 minutes to make another one."

Lastly, two of our bowls had long blonde hairs in them. Just stopped eating and threw it out as it would've taken another 30 mins anyway. The food was bland and mediocre as well, definitely not...

Came here on the Sunday after Canada Day long weekend. It was very busy as one would expect. They were severely understaffed and sold out of everything, except chicken. After lining up for 20 minutes, the overworked staff were rude and abrupt in telling us what is not available every time we asked. Finally we had to say why don't you just tell us what you have available, which was the chicken. Why would you not post this information somewhere on the menu or at least periodically let people know you're out of so and so while they wait in the line up? Anyway, we ordered the chicken and it was a cold, dry, ordinary, sandwich. It reminded me of airport food. The bannock bread was pretty good but everything else about the experience was terrible. Not...

I did takeout here several times over the summer when I worked in Merritt and can only rave about the food! Everything and anything to do with bannock, whether sweet or savory, is delicious! The Wild Smoked Salmon on Bannock was my favourite item to take for lunch, although there were a couple times where it didn't last until lunch the next day. But even their Pit House Vegetarian Salad, while appearing bland, was incredibly tasty. Their drinks could use improvement though, as I found that both hot & cold drinks were somewhat lacking in flavour. But their sweet bannocks are the best seller for this place! Even if you're just passing through Merritt, this is worth the 8 min detour off the highway for its unique offerings!

We were on a road trip and came across this place by chance. The atmosphere was pleasant with some pretty nice art work on the walls. But the food, the food was incredible! I had the Saskatoon barbecue chicken and I can't remember the last time I had something so surprisingly good. Not only was it one of the more unique dishes I have had in a long time, it was also one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. So so so incredibly good. My partner had the corn and bean flatbread taco. She was also raving about her meal so we shared bites, we almost always do this, and it too was delicious. So the short story, give it a try if you get a chance. I am pretty sure you will be happy you did so.
