So the only reason I'm even giving this review a 3-star is because the first time we had gone here we had a great experience and the food/service was great.
Second time (this time) not so much. We, a party of 2 adults and a child came in for Mother's Day lunch. We arrived around 11:30am and it appeared to only have maybe a table of 8 and maybe 2-3 parties of 2-3 guests. The server greeted us and sat us and had to run off immediately after. It took about 10mins before they returned to take our drink orders and another 10mins to bring them. At that point they still didn't get a chance to take our food order, by the time I finished my beer they still haven't returned, that I had to get up to go to the bar to ask for another. When the server did finally come back to take our food order they were great! great recommendations and suggestions from the menu.
At this point there were parties piling in. ( I assumed it was starting to fill up because of Mother's Day - seeing that each party did come in with children) Well 30mins later, still no food and a table of 4 that was sat near us got their entire order before us (but I did hear some sort of complaints from that party) This time my husband had to get up to ask the person behind the bar about our order while also asking for his pop refill. Immediately after he had inquired our food was brought out. His burger was fine, a little cold assuming it was sitting for a bit in the back. unfortunately, my food would've been great if it was what I had ordered. I had let the server know, and they had taken it back to the kitchen only returning to let me know the kitchen "cannot accommodate my order right now because they are busy and will not be prioritizing it" I basically felt like it was a "eat this or don't eat" so I just told them it was fine, please just take it away and remove it from my bill. I just ended up picking at my husband's fries for my Mother's Days lunch.
I have no complaints for the service or kitchen staff, they did an amazing job considering the circumstance they were given. It was a full house with only 2 front of house staff and apparent'y 1 in the kitchen. I did ask for management and was told they haven't been able to get a hold of them.
I don't run a restaurant so this can be taken as constructive criticism, but on a day like mother's day maybe schedule your staff accordingly or be present to help run your business.
After that one incident, we probably won't return. Which is unfortunate because we did like the...
Read moreAs a regular customer multiple times per week, it was disappointing that Jamie calls everyone a white supremacist and constantly makes disparaging remarks about white males - even other customers have said the same. Until she is no longer around, this review stands and I will not be returning. All the other servers and Gary are great. Better to go to Ivy that has much better prices.
EDIT Given the barrage recent "reviews" (lol) talking so positive about Jamie and mischaracterizing me, I think maybe I should expand on my experiences just a little for the ownership to see if they think her actions are reasonable.
First time I met Jamie was several months ago. In one of our first interactions, she said the workers at Euromax are all racist. Odd. Since then, I have seen her many times although other servers mostly. I never had a problem with her, but on almost every occasion you would hear her say something about white supremacy or white males. Doesn't really bother me. In fact, two other regulars have said she says these things with one saying she's called him a white supremacist (lol he's not whatsoever). Her comments are widely known. I'm certain other employees know as well.
Fast forward to last week, and Jamie again mentioned white supremacy and made a comment about old white males. I was having a good time anyway with another regular. Again didn't bother me. Then she made some comment about white males and slavery. I responded and told her slavery existed well before the British in Africa and still exists today. Didn't think anything of it. A couple minutes later, she is giving me my bill without asking. I was shocked. Why? Cause she didn't like that comment? Her innate hatred is what caused her to discriminate. Say something, whatever doesn't bother me ... But to take an action like that, that is an issue.
This can all be verified by the cameras by ownership including my shock when she handed me the bill. Gary didn't come until the end and did not witness what transpired, and acted professionally. He even had to tell her to be quiet.
Again, I have 0 issues with Keenan's, did enjoy it, and never had any issues, but she tried to power trip simply because I was a white male and she didn't like the comment. I'm sure Ontario Human Rights Commission would not find this amusing.

Read moreOur first time dining here at Keenan's Irish Pub and it's a good spot. We chose this spot as we have a group gathering with people driving from Downtown Toronto, some coming from North York and some coming from Kitchener. So, this is a good mid-way point for eveyrone.
This pub is spacious, clean, looks very new and we luv the wallpaper design on the walls. As you see Conor McGregor UFC Fighter graphic. Then, BONO and U2 graphic. Some of the booths have the Irish flag colours on it.
We were super impressed with the superb services by all the wonderful servers and staff. They were attentive and kept coming back to ask us if we need anything in a very courteous way. We have 2 small children and the staff provided us with 2 baby seats. They refill our water, napkins and small plates for shareable of appetizers.
Overall the food was decent and alright. I ordered my Keenan's burger, it was a good size but I would have preferred my beef patty to be a little bit more juicy and not slightly over-cooked. Nevertheless, I didn't want to return it as I don't want to wait. We ordered the chicken quesadillas, nachos, chicken pot pie, fish and chips, it was decent.
Dessert such as the lava cake and creme brulee were made in-house and were great.
The Kids meal of burger is decent portion, I was surprised. The chicken tenders were great as well.
Looks like they have karaoke night and DJ spinning music on Saturday nights. This is definitely a great place for family gathering, date nights. And for solo people, the bar area is so nice, tons of TV screens all over the entire pub.
We will definitely be back for future gatherings here at...
