I don't always say, "yeh cheez" but when I do, it means I've really had something that made my taste buds go wowwwww!
Was fortunate enough to try the yummylicious menu at yeh cheez and it definitely didn't disappoint. I love how the menu is simple yet packs a punch on the variety of dishes they offer. Everything I tried here I can genuinely say I absolutely loved and enjoyed.
The star of the show however was their bun kabob which is the most authentic and traditional Karachi street food you will ever taste. A vegetarian patty smothered with spicy green chutney, covered with red onions and tomatoes, sitting beautifully inside a fresh hot buttered bun. It just does not get any better. This is a Karachi street food signature dish and without fail these guys delivered it incredibly well. P.s definitely get extra green chutney on the side which is made in house and killer.
Absolutely loved the Malai Chutney and kebab rolls (Freshly made rolls with perfect amount of meat and sauces). The nachos were deadly and have earned their way to my keepers list. Not gonna lie but the club sandwiches were perfectly crafted and had harmonious flavours (so, so good). Their mango Lassi was delicious! Thick, rich, smooth, not overwhelmingly sweet and absolutely loved the cardamom which definitely gives it a super kick. The chicken samosas were small but mighty (packed with flavours to the last bite). Their quesadilla's are loaded with cheesey goodness and yummy smoked chicken Tikka which is a must try. The thalay wali kulfi was a hit. One bite and I felt like being transformed back into Pakistan. The taste was bang on and definitely delicious!

ย ย ย Read moreAbsolutely underwhelming paratha roll. I ordered the Bihari roll and I was extremely disappointed. It had no flavour, very bland I only tasted imli chutney and the paratha was so stretchy and rubbery :( This place does not serve authentic Pakistani food at all. If youโre craving food like back home Karachi style steeet food I HIGHLY recommend going to Kravin Karachi, they did not disappoint, better price and wayy more authentic. Yeh cheese is not it guys ๐๐
Update: I noticed the restaurant replied to my review with claims that I harassed their staff and threatened them, which is a complete false statement. I simply placed an order, received my food, and left without any conflict. As someone whoโs quite introverted, I wouldnโt even feel comfortable expressing my dissatisfaction in person, which is why I chose to leave an honest review instead.
I stand by my feedback: the paratha roll I ordered was underwhelming and lacked flavor. My intention was never to bring this place down but to offer constructive criticism that could help them improve. Itโs unfortunate they chose to respond with baseless accusations instead of addressing the feedback. The mention of โvideo proofโ seems like an empty bluff, and I can assure you I did order exactly what I reviewed. You guys have also copy pasted your response to my review and posted the same reply to my husband who left an honest review as well. It really shows you canโt handle criticism well, which doesnโt affect me at all, rather it harms your businessโs credibility. :(
Everyone is entitled to their own experience, and honesty is very important. I hope this clears up any confusion for future customers. Thnx
ย ย ย Read moreWow I cant believe how people hype up such things for no reason. So went there for Sehree first time ever. The owner standing outside the door held a phone a said oh there is a waiting list loll where as there were two tables empty, we had 4 people and apparently she wanted to have 8 people come in to occupy the table, that's cause 8 people will probably spend more money loll.
Anyway at the end of it we had 6 people, that doesnt matter, when I hear or read people talking about ambience looks like their standards are real low. This place literally had their backyard furniture to put people on broken chairs and a plastic table and then 3 booths where 4 people can sit on each. Now onle 1 washroom for men and women, so sucked in that sense as well.
We ordered halwa poori. And honestly speaking puri was like paper and channa was like 2 days old, aaloo was not bad. The portions were like 1 person would have to order twice to be able to say it was enough.
So overall worst experience if the food was good I would not care about how the place looks. Anyway open up your eyes people dont hype up worst places for no reason.
I would not take ny friends and family there again.
To the owner who replied, at the bottom. You know your reply have actually made it worst for you shows how much respect you have for people who criticize the bad food. Very poor and disappointing reply. And trust me I wasnt there to waste my time in ordering something else. My friend who ordered again, that was only cause your portions are cheaply small and it didnt satisfy his hunger. Your recipe strictly caters to northern Pakistan and Karachi.
Anyway everyone has the right to think their...
