Update: +1 more star for food and service, because I've seen some improvements in quality of beverages and service, and they do rectify issues if you talk to them. I also feel for the staff as it can be chaotic in there when there's a lot of students. This still isn't the best location, Milton has a newer awesome location on the west end near the escarpment. But, it is what it is, this one's close/centrally located so it'll do, and some of the staff seem to be trying their best. :)

A few years ago, I would've said this is a great location. It is a very convenient location if you're commuting into Toronto via GO transit. :) There's a decent amount of seating inside, as well as a patio in the warmer months which is really nice to have.
Some of the staff are really nice, mainly at the drive-through... But there's been many times where they're not so great when visiting in-store. I usually do a mobile order, and have had times where I'm waiting and can see how they treat some customers, or each other, poorly... as well as handle drinks messily. On my last time in-store, one of the staff was making my drink - spilled it, refilled it, and left it on the counter for me as a wet sticky mess with coffee puddling under it. She probably could have wiped it first, or started over with a new cup lol...
Any negative parts of my previous experiences tend to be around the quality of the drink, which is why the lower rating. This location can be really inconsistent at times. Such as: Room-temperature warm Nitro cold brew, ice-less cold foam cold brew (also room temperature), overly watered down cold brew, stale food items, dairy milk given when ordering a drink with coconut milk (that was a "fun" time for my insides). From what I've seen, it just seems like the management doesn't train its staff properly, and likewise the staff DGAF about what they're doing most of the time. But I'm not there all day every day, so what do I know. :)
Atmosphere: If you go during the weekdays, you'll likely encounter a lot of students as many come here during lunch or after school. This location can also get pretty busy, especially with the GO station in close proximity, so pack your patience. There are less busy times in pockets of the day.
Drive-through: The drive-through entrance is within the parking lot beside East Side Mario's and can be easy to miss if you haven't been...
Read moreDante is the rudest barista I have ever dealt with. A few months ago I was in the store with my sister and as I was ordering with Dante they completely stopped listening and proceeded to have a conversation with their co worker, about a minute and a half later once the conversation had come to an end, they asked me to repeat my order because they hadn't caught it the first time (surprisingly). Another unpleasant experience happened recently in the drive thru. I arrived at the window and had my phone ready to scan for stars as well as my debit card to pay. Before I could finish my sentence of wanting to scan and pay debit the machine was being shoved in my face. When I asked if I could scan for stars first, a giant huff of frustration was exhaled and slamming the debit machine down onto the counter. I don't believe that these action meet with Starbucks morals and hope that there will be a change in attitude or employment. I have had many other pleasant experiences in this location but whenever I walk in and see Dante working I can expect to be treated like I am...
Read moreThey made my soy drink with the same blender they make the regular dairy drinks, there was still watery milk in the blender from when they "rinsed" it (I saw it) so there was no point in me asking for soy if they're going to contaminate it anyway. They were very rude, there was one girl restocking the lids and napkins and I had to ask her to move so I can get a straw and she made it seem like I was bothering her bc I needed to get it. I apologized like it was my fault even though she was the one blocking the way and could've just been nicer about it. They handed my drink to me with it over flowing so it spilt on the sides but I didn't even bother getting a napkin bc then I'd have to ask the same girl to move again. VERY RUDE STAFF, even the cashier who told me to scan my card and seemed annoyed I didn't scan it yet she had the scanner behind the counter the whole time so I was trying and she too made it seem like it was my fault. Never visiting this location again, take the extra 5 minutes to go to the James...
