Super disappointing movie going experience due to self-entitled young adults sitting behind us kicking seats, throwing popcorn, nachos, and cans, talking, shouting and taking selfie throughout the movie. My partner was even sprayed with something wet, at one point.
Despite my talking to them several times, and other patrons from several rows forward making the effort to come to the back of the theatre to ask them to stop, they continued without batting an eye, only encouraged by the attention they drew. I recognize this is not the fault of Cineplex, but rather a pure lack of social awareness and consideration on the part of the movie goers causing the disruption.
However, After stepping out of the theatre and speaking to theatre staff, no effort was made by the Cineplex staff to address the situation. No help to improve the situation was made by the staff and a request for help was simply met by shrugging of the shoulders.
Much of the movie was missed and what was watched was ruined .
The theatre posts a few signs, about passionately delivering an exceptional entertainment experience. There was definitely no passion in helping to improve the experience for a theatre full of people.
The theatre also posts a sign regarding the code of Conduct expected of patrons however, it is only selectively enforced of convenient for the staff.
A hugely disappointing evening.
On the bright side, the theatre, halls and men's room were very clean. Sadly, nearly every toilet in the women's room had toilets that were unfinished.
Concession stand was well maintained, and fast and efficient. I enjoyed that...
Read moreMilton, a city renowned for its rapid growth and vibrant community, stands as one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada. This remarkable growth has brought about significant changes and developments in various sectors. However, one area that urgently calls for attention is the expansion of its theater facilities.
The current state of theater and cultural spaces in Milton is not commensurate with the city’s burgeoning population and the diverse interests of its residents. As the city continues to grow, there is an increasing demand for more robust and varied cultural infrastructures, particularly in the performing arts. A theater expansion is not just a matter of adding more seats or increasing space; it is about enriching the cultural fabric of Milton and providing residents with more opportunities to engage with the arts.
Investing in a theater expansion would not only cater to the entertainment needs of the community but also serve as a catalyst for economic and social development. A larger, more modern theater could attract a wider range of performances, from local productions to national touring shows, enhancing Milton's reputation as a cultural hub. This, in turn, could have positive ripple effects on local businesses, tourism, and community engagement.
In summary, as Milton continues to grow and evolve, the need for a theater expansion becomes increasingly critical. It is an essential step in ensuring that the cultural infrastructure keeps pace with the city's development, enhancing the quality of life for its residents and positioning Milton as a key player in Canada's...
Read moreMy nephew was over for the weekend and Batman had just come out so I decided to take him during the day - figured it might be less busy. I was wrong but it’s the movies, no big deal. Anyways, we walk in and I had purchased the tickets online for dbox. I thought we would need to print the tickets like the old days so I went to the kiosk to try to print it - does not work. There are no signs saying that I don’t need to print the tickets and no employees around to ask questions. The layout of the movie theater is also very weird. They have the concessions near the first theater where Batman was playing and the lines were so long we had to walk through the crowd to go to the theater. At first, there was no one standing there checking tickets but when I come back to concessions with my nephew, we walk up to the teenage looking employees and show my ticket to them, they didn’t care, they were on their phones anyways. If I was a teenager myself I would just go here and sneak into movies. Not saying to do this - but you can because no one was even checking tickets. Anyways, I think I’m just used to VIP theater and in seat service but I did not like regular theater experience at all. On top of all this, when we went to get snacks from the concession stand, there was a small mistake with our order and it was so busy that I couldn’t interrupt to get the order fixed.
At least my nephew had fun in the dbox seats - that’s kind of all...
