UPDATE: Ordered a large steak sub with mushrooms and cheese and it came with onions. I asked for tomatoes and lettuce on the side because my husband and I were sharing it later. When I received the bag I was surprised as to how light it was. I decided to open it in the truck and I was shocked. First, it was cold, then I couldn't find the cheese and the amount of meat was laughable. Tried to find the mushrooms, and I doubt there was a whole one there. I went back in and told a man and a girl that for 15.97$ this was unacceptable. I found out that you have to tell them to toast the bun (hmmm. Yup even a hot steak you need to tell them, so I told them to toast it which they did). I said, there's no meat there and where's the cheese. Apparently the white sliver is the cheese. I saw an order being made and asked if this was a steak and cheese and the man said yes. I said kine didn't look at all like that. Apparently, its because my tomatoes and lettuce were not on the sub and I didn't ask for peppers. What!? Seriously. There's no meat, what does that have to do with it. Check out the picture. The right side literally has hardly any meat. The top part of the bun is burnt, its not meat. STAY AWAY! They are scamming the food. They knew I was unhappy. BTW I'm 71 years old. I know a steak sub. We were gipped food. We paid 16$ for a bun! ED'S SUB MIRAMICHI OFF WATER STREET, DO NOT GO!
Super staff. Lacks variety of sauces and could put a bit more steak in their subs. Serving sizes for small onion ring is 6 rings. Very small servings. But the staff there is...
Read more"I recently visited Ed’s Sub & Pizza Shack New Castle and tried the veggie sub and poutine – both were absolutely fantastic! The veggie sub was packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients, perfectly layered on soft, delicious bread. The vegetables were crisp and tasted incredibly fresh, and the seasoning brought everything together wonderfully. As for the poutine, it was exactly what I was hoping for – golden fries, rich gravy, and cheese curds that melted beautifully. It was comforting and satisfying, making it the perfect side. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty, satisfying meal. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreFor those of us that are old enough to remember the Original Ed’s Sub, this is as close to the real authentic version. Many other Ed’s sub have gone rogue and the food taste is not the same. This Ed’s sub is the real deal. The original Ed’s sub steak spice, poutine gravy and presentation portions are the same.
I hope they never change! The original Ed’s sub is a classic, the steak sub is cooked to order. It’s not fired up in some microwave/high tech speed oven. They may not have a dozen sauces to choose from but that’s what makes this an original...
