Estey's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Miramichi

Almost everyone told us to try Estey's as the best in town but we delayed thinking no tartar sauce was odd. I understand now, it's so good you don't want tartar sauce to get in the way of the phenomenal flavour of the fish.

I'm a chubby lifelong foodie dude, I had fresh Pacific salmon fish and chips out of a combo convenience store/tackle shop/dockside fish restaurant in north vancouver which was an experience I'll never forget it was that perfect and the historical classic fish and chips from multiple world famous spots in England when I visited family there.......

Estey's is in my opinion the 3rd best fish and chips IN THE WORLD after the one best place in England (can't remember if it was in York or Scarborough though) or Vancouver and is definitely the best in Miramichi...

We ordered the “large fish”. 8 generous pieces, cooked to perfection. No chips. Fish was moist and tender, batter perfectly brown and crispy.

There are two rival fish & chips places here on the river. This was always our favorite!

No tartar sauce at Estey’s. But they serve a hefty portion of white vinegar if you ask.

They are cash only, they have signs saying such but who reads all the little signs at a restraint. It is my fault I did not read the signs but seriously what business does not have a debit machine or a square. There are even machines in cabs. By the time I went and got cash towing a boat my food was cold the fries and fish were mushy. I doubt I will ever be able to convince my wife to get food...
