VERA Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Miramichi

Server was good. Food was pretty good. Was with a large group. Food arrives in a hap hazard order. Some had finished their main course while others awaited apps. I discretely mentioned this to the server, who was headed back inside. A short time later, my (clearly embarrassed) server approached me with initial ticket from my order. Having reported my one minor complaint to the owner, who was inside, they sent the young server (seriously, she was naught but a teenager) back to me with the ticket to point out the time stamp in an attempt to prove me wrong. I felt embarrassed for this young lady who was sent to do the owner’s dirty work regarding an issue that I wasn’t really that upset about. Poor kid. I tipped her generously. Wonderful experience in Miramichi & VERA kitchen and bar. Staff were extremely nice and informative, got our food quickly. We came in around mid July for dinner, ordered the Lobster Crostini and the Lobster Mac n Cheese, which is more of a well known hidden menu item but WOW! So creamy, cheesy, delicious and the lobster tastes so fresh as if they just fished it out of the water in front of us! One of the best meals I have had, I also ordered a Caesar with a meat stick which was delicious!! Server was fantastic and she kept reading my mind while we were in the restaurant, very well trained and obviously has a lot of experience being a server! Highly recommend this place if you are in Miramichi, a lot of places in the city cant compare to VERA and the location is excellent!...

Great spot. There are not many restaurants in Miramichi that make dining a culinary experience or are 5 stars worthy. Yes, In a larger metropolis this may not be rated 5 but a 4. But the reality is this is a solid 5 for Miramichi.

Naysayers upset about the restaurant not taking reservations on the patio haven’t experienced a larger city. Most restaurants do not take reservations for patios because they simply do not know when a guest is going to be finished. I’m sure they would be even more upset that if they had a table on the patio and the wait staff indicated they had a limited time due to a reservation but they wanted another drink.
