Mission Hills Sushi — Restaurant in Mission

I have been a loyal customer of this place for 7 years always have I enjoyed the chef Charles he’s a wonderful guy always puts a smile on my face. I have always gotten the sushi sashimi dinner combo religiously the whole 7 years plus sometimes food for others. I’ve always been aloud to substitute the dynamite roll and tempura for to 14.95 each specialty rolls and they always charged the difference to me. At some point the price went up about 10 dollars from around 53.00 to about 63 dollars. The lady Olivia was always friendly but she said I was no longer aloud to change to a different roll no matter if it’s even the same price. After about 8 months of the same rolls 2 to 3 times a week I ordered hoping to have something different as I was tired of the same rolls. Olivia said I would no longer be able to continue placing my regular order anymore after 7 long years of being a loyal customer and driving from Aldergrove to Mission religiously I am quite sad and upset. I have always been a creature of habit and this really hurts. I as well found out this evening my extra ginger and wasabi came to $9.00 of my bill which I found kind of shocking. I honestly have always been fine with the price and the raises and ya I don’t know. I just feel after 7 years as a true loyal customer to Olivia it truly didn’t matter. Again I rate the food high but what has happened tonight has really brought my thoughts of the owners appreciation to a one star rating. The numerous amounts of people I’ve sent there and the multiple posts I’ve shared about this place in Facebook groups I wish I could take back. If I owned a business and had loyal customers of this many years I’d go above and beyond no matter what to keep them happy. I must add as well the 2 rolls that were different this evening were the exact same price as the 2 rolls she said I must have at all times because it may confuse her front staff to change them. Been ordering here for awhile now. I loved this place for a long time, but recently the last 3 orders I've had either was missing something or added something. The first one I asked for 2 yam rolls, it was an online order but paid in store and I had the email of how much it would cost, when I got to the store I paid the right amount that I saw on my email but once I got home I didn't get the 2nd roll, nor did I get a receipt. I called them and they assured me that I only paid for the 1 roll and that I would not be getting a refund or anything and because I didn't have a receipt there was nothing I could do about it. They were very argumentative so I just left it there as I'm not a very confrontational person, still super annoying though. The 2nd time they forgot my miso soups, I had the receipt and so I went back and got them. But they didn't seem to ask or anything to make sure I was telling the truth, seemed a little sus. The 3rd time they added a miso soup without actually ordering it. When we told them about it they didn't seem to care about it at all. It must' be a new owner because I've never had a problem before. But the food is now sub par and I'm kinda sick of my order always...

So tasty and beautiful! This place was a wrong turn for us, literally. We missed our turn and ended up in Mission Hills Shopping area. No regrets!

The food is stunningly displayed like art on the plates and everything we had was full of flavour and awesome.

We both got the teriyaki chicken dinner which comes with tempura, miso, dynamite roll and salad/sunomono. On it's own, the meal was great and could have easily been filling enough. Teriyaki chicken is served on sauteed cabbage and came to the table still sizzling.

Red Dragon Roll - This was amazing. Spicy and stunning. A literal work of art but also delicious.

Snow White Roll - I know what you're thinking, this coconut roll sounds kind of odd right. It's delicious. The coconut is a creamy cool accompaniment to my spicy roll.

Crazy Guy Roll- The sauce was sweet and the crunch bits were bomb.

Will absolutely be back! Thanks for the lovely service and great food.

Oh, and yes there is a TON OF TAKEOUT. But the in house service is also nice. Busy little place that fulfilled easily 15 Skip the Dishes orders while we were there. Not surprising considering how good...
