I have a gripe with this establishment. First visit, was forced to dine in for one of their specials. It was explicitly stated on their advertisement that a weeknight special is dine-in only. It was near closing and the place was empty.
They made a bold claim that their falafel is the best in all of Canada. I laughed. It isn't. It's not bad either, just average.
The guy who served me, Yazan was adamant that I dine in and I was hungry and had no choice. Anyway, we made small talk and the first experience wasn't bad. Food was decent. I ate and left.
Second visit, which came many months later, I was craving yalanji and spotted their mezza tray which surprisingly, I'm told is dine-in only despite not having a fine print stating such. What kind of restaurant prevents you from ordering items to go? This one, clearly. Some girl said to me you can order those same items from the tray separately for take out but not the tray itself since we lose out on money. You advertise a tray for a certain amount and then force people to dine in. I came on a Friday afternoon at 4pm and the place was EMPTY.
Here's the kicker, I asked, let's suppose I ordered this tray and can't finish it.. do you deny me from taking it home? Let's be real.. it's not possible for me to finish it all solo and I don't want to be forced to dine in when I'm tired and want to go home.. so what's their solution.. Waste the customers time by preparing dishes using their ceramic plates, force you to sit and if you don't finish the food, then you take the remainder home, using small containers that barely fit anything. Brilliant.
The girl showed me their packaging and said, this is all we have; a small round plastic container. I have a solution for you; price your dishes accordingly so "you don't lose out on money" if that's where your concern lies. Let customers decide for themselves what to do and don't advertise items you can't deliver on. Don't be cheap and get packaging that accommodates take out orders (how else do you pack up large orders?) Your policy is incredibly stupid. You lose customers this way.
I left as quickly as I entered. Went to another equally disappointing establishment in the same plaza that also cheapened out.
Work on not cutting corners because you think you start off decently and then the decline is sharp. Prices increase and quality goes down. That's not good! In no time, both eateries will be replaced with something else....
Read moreWe seldom frequent Mediterranean restaurants and I am really glad we gave Azkadenya a visit on a Friday evening. We usually pass along Erin Mills parkway and always see this beautiful restaurant, in between Britannia and Battleford Rd.
Since it was our first time, we asked one of the staff to help us out. They were very helpful and patient with our questions. We haven’t even started eating yet but the service was already amazing from the start. They recommended the “Best of Both Worlds” Mana’eesh, which is basically flat bread topped with Levantine white cheese and authentic Palestinian zaatar. Za'atar is a popular Middle Eastern spice blend and the name of a wild herb. The spice blend typically includes dried thyme, oregano, marjoram, toasted sesame seeds, sumac, and salt. It’s like pizza but far more heavenly to the palate. There is something about Levantine cheese which makes it every delicious, but it was truly mouth watering and melt in your mouth. And of course if one were to go to a mediterranean restaurant, you need to order lamb or chicken dish. I highly recommend you get “The Sheesh”, it’s a generous platter of tawook chicken & lamb skewer, served with creamy hummus. This platter also includes a Levantine crunch salad, their fragrant specialty rice, garlic sauce and freshly made pita bread. The hummus that they have in-house is simply creamy, very smooth and savory, and not your typical commercial hummus.
Last but not the least, we ordered the Cheesy CRUNCHY Kunafa. There are 2 choices, the smooth one or the crunchy, the latter is what we ordered. I cannot tell you that this dessert was actually the highlight of our dining experience here. Taken from their menu, it is described as a traditional-style spun pastry layered with white cheese, soaked in a delicious sugar-based syrup, and drizzled with pistachios. Imagine the top layer being a wee bit crunchy due to thin spun pastry strings, which covers a generous layer of white cheese. Paired with their house brewed tea, this combo is unbeatable.
We would like to thank the staff who were there on that day. You guys were very helpful, patient, and amazing. We truly enjoyed the food, as well as the 10-star hospitality. Cheers to...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this incredible Middle Eastern restaurant yesterday, and it was an experience worth raving about! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The restaurant is located in a prime spot, and cleanliness was clearly a priority, which added to the comfort of the experience. But let’s talk about the real star of the show—the amazing food!
We ordered the Mix Grill Platter and Loaded Kufta, and every bite was pure perfection. The meat was so tender and juicy that it literally melted in my mouth, bursting with rich, smoky, and aromatic flavors. The mix grill was served with their signature Hummus, which, as they proudly claim, is the best in Mississauga—and I can now vouch for it! The pita bread was so light and fluffy, making every dip into that silky hummus a true delight. The crispy fries that came with our meal were perfectly crunchy and seasoned to perfection. They were the ultimate sidekick to the mouthwatering flavors on the table! I found myself savoring every bite, and by the end, I was shamelessly licking my fingers because the food was just sooo good! ☺️
To wrap up our delicious meal, we indulged in their Crispy Kunafeh, and oh my my—what a masterpiece! Ever since trying Cuppa Turka’s Kunafeh in Australia, I’ve been on a mission to find something that matches its excellence, and finally, my search is over. This Kunafeh was flawlessly crispy, perfectly sweet, and just the right amount of cheesy goodness. The kunafeh vermicelli tasted like fried in butter and I am drooling even now. Paired with a soothing cup of Turkish Mint Tea, it literally elevated the entire experience to another level. The exceptional service of the staff was friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome from start to finish. All in all, this place has officially earned a permanent spot on my list of favorites. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s truly a Culinary experience that keeps you coming back for more. A MUST-GO for anyone who loves Middle...
