Sunday, May 4, 2025 We would like to commend the management for quickly responding to our post. They answered our questions, agreed that description and picture in the menu could be misleading, apologized and offering us a complimentary appetizer, which they kept on file at the restaurant. It was something my wife could also enjoy as they were willing and able to exchange the pita bread in the spinach dip for baked corn chips; my wife has coeliac disease. Anika was a fabulous, personal and friendly server; very knowledgable in her craft, except when it came to dessert. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. I enjoyed the pasta trio with Caesar salad and my wife enjoyed steak with mashed potato. It was delicious! My wife was not able to eat the Birthday dessert offered by the restaurant (I certainly did), so she ordered the crème brûlée. Surprisingly, we received the seasonal cobbler instead. It was still very good and it was also gluten-free. Thankfully. We had a very nice experience and certainly did not go home hungry. In fact, I think we took some food home. Thx, Kelsey’s!

Wow, what a disappointing experience.
We thought we would support a new local business so we ordered curbside pick-up at Kelseys. Ordered at 4:30 pm with a 5:00 pm pick-up time. It was a pretty generic meal - burger, chicken burger, kid's meal (burger) and nachos.
We arrived a few minutes early and completed the mobile check-in. We received a text message at 4:55 pm stating they had received our check-in and "Please wait in your car, and we will text you further instructions shortly." Note that was the only text we received.
As we hadn't heard anything by 5:09 pm (14 minutes) we called to check on our status. The first thing the employee asked was if we had come inside and told them we were there, which is counter to the direction received in the text message. Then she said she wasn't aware of our order but would look into it. She called back a few minutes later telling us our food wasn't ready yet. We told the employee that we were frustrated as the food was now 18 minutes late and we had two children under 5 waiting in the car. 'Oh ok, sorry about that' was the response.
The food finally arrived at 5:23 pm, or about 28 minutes after we had checked in. The employee walked the food out to our car with her mask below her nose and mouth. We immediately asked her to wear her mask, as she was inches from our open window with two unvaccinated children inside. Her response? "Oh it's ok, I'm double vaxxed!". Wow. Anyway, she at least did oblige and put her mask on.
So after a brief exchange of our disappointment, we drove home. Halfway home we get a phone call from the same employee 'Oh, you left without taking your entire order!'. There had been no indication that we hadn't received our entire order the first time.
We went back to pick up our nachos - this time we had to go inside to let them know we were there, and eventually someone (I presume a shift manager) came out with the nachos. They offered us a $25 voucher for our next meal but at that point we just wanted to leave.
Somehow - even with a very short drive home - the food was cold and the nachos were - well, look at the picture and judge for yourself. Hopefully this situation was a one-off, but it seemed likely the restaurant lost our order, did nothing to make up for it and didn't follow their own procedural (i.e., stay in the car) and health and safety (i.e., masking) protocols.
UPDATE: The owner called and personally apologized to my wife for what transpired last night. He probably spent 20 minutes going through each issue we identified and how they are fixing them going forward. We really appreciated that and will give the restaurant another shot. I'll update my rating...
Read moreI came here on a Saturday night with a couple of my friends for dinner. One of my friends had suggested that they had a cozy warm outdoor patio dining experience. We were surprised that this was true and it was bordered up so that the heat wouldn't escape as easily to keep us warm throughout the cold Canadian winter.
The interior decor is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is well lit and welcoming. The main food we had ordered are burly burger, chicken tenders and Thai chicken curry bowl.
Burger 🍔 My friend ordered the build your own burger. It consists of gluten-friendly bun along with grilled chicken breast. The toppings she included was guacamole, pickle, lettuce, onion and sweet potato fries.
When her dish arrived, she noticed that there was cheese in the burger. Unfortunately, my friend dislike cheese but the server was willing to redo the burger again without the cheese included.
However, when the burger arrived a second time, the grilled chicken seems to be a bit too charcoal-y for her but she can still eat it. She said that the food was good along with the sweet potato fries 👍.
Chicken Tenders 🍗 My friend ordered the chicken tenders which are hand-breaded and it comes with 5 pieces. You are free to add additional chicken tenders for a small price. She didn't want something spicy so she picked the apple butter BBQ as the flavour. She also had veggies as the side dish.
The apple butter BBQ was so good and the chicken tender had a texture that she liked. Sometimes there are gummy-ish bits in chicken tenders and they also weren't stingy with the sauce. She said that these were amazing 👍.
Thai Chicken Curry Bowl 🍛 I ordered the Thai chicken curry bowl. This bowl contains freshly sautéed chicken, red peppers and fresh basil in Thai green curry sauce. You can choose between Basmati Rice or Shanghai noodles, steamed broccoli and baby bok choy topped with green onions.
Their chicken was very tender and the vegetables were fresh. When mixed with the Thai green curry sauce, it was full of deliciousness. I would give this dish a fire 🔥.
Overall, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. The manager had visited our table from start to finish. I would recommend giving this place a try and I will definitely be coming back to try out more of...
