I have been to this location several times and the donuts and food are generally good. However, on Saturday Dec 14, I placed a pick up order for a 4 pack of bagels and tub of cream cheese. My boyfriend went in to pick it up and got another pack of bagels and cream cheese so we could have enough for the week. He went in the freezer/fridge and grabbed a pack. The bagels from the pick up order were already packed in the bag by the cashier/server so my boyfriend did not get a chance to look at in store. When we came home, the bagels packed by the server were COVERED in chunks of ice. It was so bad it looked freezer burnt! We had to physically cut off the ice. We waited until the other ones defrosted a bit and the bag had a pool of water in it...that's how much ice was there, causing the other bagels to get soggy. We even tried to toast one and it tasted absolutely stale and stiff. Had to throw all 4 away. We reported that pack on Uber and submitted a picture through Uber so I don't have a picture of it in my phone or I would have uploaded it here. It was disappointing to know that the server at Bloomers tried to pawn off some old stale freezer burnt bagels onto us. It was very visible how bad the bagels looked and there is no way she did not see it. The next 4 pack that my boyfriend had, you could tell looked better, there was NO ice on it. We cut into one and noticed green spots on the back of it. It very likely could have been sprinkles baked into the bagel, but with our experience with the first pack being old and stale, it turned us off, it can easily be confused with mold or something else so we threw it out. Out of 8 bagels ordered, we were able to eat 3. I love supporting vegan businesses but I do not appreciate any business trying to purposely sell stale/old food to their customers. Safe to say we won't be buying from...
Read morePerfect gem. Cute dining spot, yummy treats, great drinks! Friendly staff, the owner is the sweetest lady!! The donuts are soooooo good! They're big and fluffy. Flavor is spot on. I got a strawberry donut, and I tasted strawberries! What a concept! Nothing artificial. I drank my oatmilk London Fog too fast. It just went down smooth warm and cozy. The other donut in the photo is classic cinnamon sugar. And it was exactly that: classic. Will definitely be returning to try EVERYTHING ELSE! Race me there.
Edit:
I got the freezer everything bagels and the Sriracha cream cheese for home. This was a smart idea. A new breakfast staple at my place. Toasty bagel has a nice bite and a nice mouth feel! Cream cheese is just delicious. There needs to be no other words. You have to try it!
London Fog Donut and Apple Fritter Donut went home to family, they LOVED it.
The point of the place is that it's vegan and gluten free and nut free. I can eat nuts, dairy, and gluten. I CHOSE this place even though I have zero dietary restrictions, but then I was worried everything was gonna taste... Glutenfreevegannutfree. BUT IT DOESN'T FEEL ANY DIFFERENT FROM FOOD THAT DOES HAVE GLUTEN AND NUTS AND DAIRY! It's just legit GOOD! Just try this...
Read moreBloomers Donuts honestly blew me away with the size of their donuts. They’re massive, easily the biggest I’ve ever had, and the best part is you’d never guess they’re vegan. Super soft, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell the base recipe is solid.
Flavor-wise, it really comes down to personal preference. I didn’t enjoy the rose pistachio at all even though it seems to be a fan favorite, and the Ferrero Rocher was just okay. Probably wouldn’t get it again. That said, the carrot cake cheesecake was absolutely incredible. The peach cobbler and birthday cake were also standouts, both packed with flavor and texture.
My only real letdown were the fritters. They were more bready than gooey and came off dry. Probably the weakest item I tried.
Overall though, if you’re into big, fluffy, creative donuts, Bloomers is definitely worth checking out. A few flavors didn’t hit for me, but the ones that did were some of the best I’ve ever had.
Verdict- I’ll most definitely be a...
