My Name is Nick and I would like to leave an honest review for Cordi Italian Bakery. Today was my first visit at Cordi. A nice sincere Italian signora assisted with preparing my pastry order. While there, I found out one of the best Italian bread makers works at Cordi, Frank. You see I worked at La Sem bakery many years ago in 1986. And Frank worked at La Sem's original location - St.Clair over 55 years ago. Frank is a highly respected man with over 50 years of experience in the Italian pastry & bakery business. Now let's talk about my first experience with Cordi Bakery pastries... As you can see in the pictures this is what I purchased in my first visit to Cordi Bakery. All the cannoli were very good except the white ones with the chips inside. The plain white cannoli were not fresh, and the filling tasted bad. The shell on the plain white ones was mushy. These white cannoli tasted like they were at least 3 days old. I was disappointed because any Italian bakery knows you keep cannoli 2 days maximum. And the best Italian bakeries make cannoli fresh every day. These white cannoli were over 2 days old, and they tasted bad ! Even though the cannoli were only $2.50 each it's an embarrassment bringing stale cannoli as a gift somewhere especially if they taste bad like these plain white ones I bought at Cordi today. Some little advice.. don't sell stale cannoli & have the young girl at the cash register be more happy, and she should be putting items in the bag instead of just tossing the bag at the customer. I found that to be ignorant and disrespectful.

I had a deli sandwich that seemed a little bit expensive until I realized it was absolutely loaded with meat. The pizza bun is massive and quite good. I'm pretty sure they gave me an extra cinnamon roll, again, stellar. But the pie... We got an apple pie that was a day or two old and discounted here we are two days after that eating it and it is still the best apple pie we have ever had, hands down. The crust is perfect and I don't even like crust. I wish I'd gotten more photos before we devoured everything to really do it justice. If you haven't been to this bakery your life is not complete and I weep for you.

Smells like fresh-baked bread as soon as you walk in. There's a good selection of bread at the back, but I went for the counter desserts. Grabbed an apple turnover, two Portuguese tarts, and a donut. The apple pastry was delicious. Very flaky and not too sweet. The donut was yummy too. Quite fluffy and also not too sweet. The Portuguese tarts were not good though. The custard part didn't taste right. I only got them because I love Portuguese tarts and had to try them. The cashier was really friendly. I would recommend this place as their prices are also good.

This local family owned gem is a beloved staple for East Mississauga/ West Etobicoke. The bread, buns, donuts, focaccia and pizza are all made fresh daily on site. The donuts are famously delicious but get there at opening or you will be disappointed as they go fast. Breads come out throughout the day and they will slice to order including horizontal for anyone still making grannie sandwiches for tea parties. Full deli counter with good selection of meats and cheeses. Huge pastry and Italian cookie selection. Small selection of pastas, tomato pastes risotto and other pantry items. They also stock excellent quality cooking pans and tools. Homemade gelato cones and cups as well as Espresso and lattes.

No where to sit so all espresso and snacks are to go and it’s a typical old school family bakery. No fancy styling just great workers and products.

Located in the Longos plaza so lots of parking...

The products here are good but this place is a complete mess on the weekends and the store does a bad job of managing the long lines. Instead of having all cashiers have uniform methods of payment there's one for cash/debit and one for cash, leading one cashier to yell out "Paying with cash?!" every 10 seconds and having people walk up from the back because they think no one was paying by cash, only to be angrily confronted by a customer who thinks they've been cut off because you genuinely thought you were next. Why not just have all cash registers uniform to prevent these ridiculous situations? Bad oversight on management's part and makes for an unpleasant experience which makes you not want...
