Istanbul Doner House — Restaurant in Mississauga

Edit Feb 2025, I don’t want to use these words but … DISGUSTING, PATHETIC AND WORST FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE. I paid $120+ for a family platter but I did not get sauces with it. When I asked them that they used to give complimentary sauces and a bread with a family platter, they said that it’s not the case any more. I paid additional amount for a garlic sauce, hot sauce, one bread and rice. I ordered a platter for four but literally I felt that they gave me a platter for two people. The beaf tikka was literally uncooked and rock solid and I could not chew it, the rice got burnt, the beef shawarma was smelly and chicken tikka was served super cold. I asked them for a tea at the end and I was told that it got finished. They further surprised me to ask to leave the place after 15min of serving food as they told me that they wanted to close the restaurant. If you need to close earlier, you should not have taken my order. There was a waitress who was very rude with my little kids and taunted them. Oh man super disgusting experience for me and my guests whom I insisted to visit the place. I wish I could give a negative rating to this place. I will not visit again after having such a bad experience.

Delicious food, amazing people and great atmosphere. It’s a value for a money and will going to be one of my favourite food places for authentic Turkish food. There is a complimentary salad and don’t forget to try a complimentary tea once you finish the meal. The place is pretty clean especially the washrooms. There is plenty of free parking at front of this restaurant. Though place is for meat lovers, there are options for vegetarians. Keep up the good works...

During my visit to Canada, I had the chance to dine at Istanbul Doner House, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was inviting, and the interior was beautifully designed. The restaurant had a modern yet cozy feel, and a unique feature we loved was the TVs showing how the food was prepared—it added an engaging and authentic touch to the experience of this Turkish Cuisine.

We decided to dine in, and the service was impeccable. Our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, which we appreciated. We ordered lentil soup, chicken and mozzarella pide, and the mix plate for three people. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted phenomenal. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced, showcasing the restaurant’s dedication to quality.

As if the meal wasn’t delightful enough, we were treated to complimentary tea, which was warm and soothing, and a dessert I believe was called kunafa. The kunafa was out of this world—crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside, and drenched in a deliciously sweet syrup. It was the perfect ending to an already wonderful meal.

Istanbul Doner House truly exceeded my expectations with its amazing food, fast and friendly service, and overall attention to detail. It’s a place I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in a welcoming and well-thought-out setting. I’ll definitely be returning the next time...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at my favorite Turkish restaurant, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is simply amazing.

One of the highlights of the menu is the mixed kebab, which is a delicious combination of lamb, chicken, and beef cooked to perfection and served with rice and vegetables. The flavors are absolutely incredible and will leave your taste buds dancing with joy.

Another must-try dish is the lentil soup, which is warm, comforting, and absolutely delicious. It's the perfect starter to your meal and will leave you feeling satisfied and content.

Of course, no meal at this Turkish restaurant is complete without trying their desserts and ice creams. They have a fantastic selection of sweet treats that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth, including baklava and Turkish delight. And their ice creams are simply out of this world, with flavors like pistachio and berry flavour that will leave you wanting more.

But what really sets this restaurant apart is the amazing service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure you have the best possible dining experience. They are always willing to answer any questions you may have and will make sure you leave feeling happy and satisfied.
