The Kebab Bistro — Restaurant in Mississauga

There's a lot of Afghani restaurants in Mississauga and several good options that delivers a consistent flavour. At first I was expecting more of the same, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Upon entering the restaurant I could tell that this was going to be different and my expectations were raised immediately. What I noticed right away was how clean and spotless the place was. You could tell the owner cared as he not only kept the place sparkling, there were nice touches in the decor.

But what I noticed right away was the smell of natural and fresh rice, mixed in with the aromas of the different types of kebabs he had cooking in the kitchen.

I've now been there three times, the initial dine in, SkipTheDishes delivery and once takeout for the family. Between these three times I've tried there Bistro Special, Waziri Special, Tora Bora (Chapli Kebab) and Qabli Palao with Lamb Shank.

Absolutely delicious. The owner is definitely putting an effort towards delivering quality here and a taste that is very authentic. It does not taste like all the other "fast food" Afghani places. It's very flavourful, without it being spicy or overbearing.

I didn't take pictures but the meals are prepared just like you see in the photos on their website.

Dine is of course the best experience but takeout is still darn good!

The only thing that I personally didn't like was no sesame seeds on their bread but hey it was very soft and fresh, so really that's just a personal preference.

If you're feeling Afghani food, definitely do yourself a favour and add this place to your list. Show some support and leave this place a review as well. We need to encourage places that are putting effort in maintaining the quality of the most important factor, the...

Today I had The "Kebab Bistro Special"... Again, it was delicious and very filling... I remembered to take a photo before I devoured it😁

After reading some of the other reviews, I feel I need to say this:

-shouting in the kitchen is just something that chefs do, it means they are passionate about their cooking... When Gordon Ramsay shouts, nobody complains...do they?... NO, they pay him big bucks and clap... So what's the problem here?... Double standards much? 😜

-If Your bread took 5 minutes to arrive, it's definitely not done in a microwave... That's just simple logic... BTW, the bread I got tasted great 👍

-A hair on the bottom of Your tray is not something You ever wish to find, BUT Hey!... You found it!... Could have eaten it and been none the wiser😀... Cheer up my friend, it was only a tiny little one... A hair never hurt anyone... These things happen to us guys, we're all hairy... Maybe it fell of Your arm? You won't know without a DNA test.

If You want more spicy, ASK for extra spicy... Or try a different kitchen(Sri Lankan might do the trick 😉)... This is Afghan kitchen, it's very tasty and won't burn the roof of Your mouth off... There's no mind readers, but if You ask for something politely You'll likely get it...

Cheer up my grumpy friends... Life is good here in Canada... It could be a lot worse... Could be living in a war zone, think about it🤔

I randomly came here with my husband. We were supposed to get a very late breakfast in the same plaza but I saw the sign for Kebab Bistro and my mind instantly changed. We came in and there were a few people eating inside the very cozy restaurant. The young gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant to deal with.

I chose the KB-1 KEBAB BISTRO SPECIAL which includes 1 Tandoori chicken kebab, 1 classic chicken kebab and 1 ground veal shish kebab. I’ll be honest, I just looked at the photo and saw FOOD and didn’t necessarily see the amount of food and I ordered it lol when it came out, the food smelled absolutely amazing. I started off with my veal kebab and it took me about 15 mins to eat that with generous amount of rice and salad on the side. When I got to my classic chicken kebab nearly 20 mins later, it will still steaming hot!! You can tell that everything is prepared fresh and made to order. The meat is seasoned extremely well and cooked to perfection. I got the rice with the raisins and the carrots and that combined with the meat, the salad, the garlic sauce and the bread is just the best combination ever!! The owner came out front and asked us how our meals were and we appreciated that and gave him our praise.

My husband and I drove all the way from Rexdale and I don’t regret it. I can see us coming here at least once a month to enjoy the food here. Kudos...
