Wow, I'm totally surprised at this location and the service standards they have.
I went there and, right from the get-go, felt unwelcome.
The main guy there, owner or manager, gave me a few cold stares and I just felt something was off about this place. Mind you this is even before I had any interaction with the guy.
Anyway, I asked for an extra toasty beef shawarma and was utterly disappointed to get a soggy, dripping shawarma instead.
Honestly, I'm the last person to complain, so I thought I'd take it home and put it in the air fryer or something.
Pretty normal, you'd think?
Not really!
Right on the counter, they had food boxes, and they were in full customer access and display, so I picked one up.
And that same owner or manager came in with a stern, "Why did you touch the box?"
I mean, in all my years of going to restaurants, I've never heard that tone from a guy who needs customers, not the other way around.
I was legitimately confused and asked him, "What do you mean?" He replied in the same condescending tone, "You contaminated the box."
Wow.
I mean, go visit that restaurant and see for yourself how clean they've kept things. It's laughable.
But yeah, maybe this is justified, but why have these boxes within reach of customers, and what's with the attitude?
With all the disappointment in the world, he threw the food box in the trash, again showing me what I had done.
I asked, “Can anyone touch this for me?” to which he smugly replied, “It’s 50 cents a box.”
Lol. Why would I care? I said, “I'm paying, please have someone other than a customer touch it.”
So yeah, subpar to below-average food, some bizarre attitude or power trip. God have mercy on the staff there.
On my way out, they had bags on display too, but I still asked, “Can I touch this section, or will I contaminate it too?”
Bottom line: your place, your rules, but learn how to communicate with customers.
Especially when you're already running an empty restaurant on a busy day.
It's not that the food is bad, it's the service that's shocking. And as for contamination, please keep your restaurant clean so there's some substance to your claims.

Another thing to note is in one of our orders we found this yellow salty thing which I believe was their rice flavour or some flavour cubes. Undesolved and when we broke it up it was so gross. Very salty and we couldn’t tell what exactly it was but our guess is flavour cubes. Adds to the negative review.
Edit: Reply to the business owner. This photo was posted with my original 3 star review from 5 years ago and that’s why it has the old containers, but it’s 100% from your store. Look at the photo and see when it was posted before accusing me of posting a fake review.
I edited the review but didn’t remove my old picture. The review was edited to make it from 3 stars to one star based on my recent experience.
This is not a fake review. I was there last Saturday. I asked if the chicken and rice could be packed separate as I was taking it for a senior who wanted it like that and your cashier said it’s not possible to do that.
I had asked for the white sauce on the side and when they were giving me the hot sauce I asked if you can replace that with the white sauce and the person working said fine and when he was packing it the cashier asked him what are you doing and then told him no and he had to take it back out of the bag and the cashier told me that we can’t replace the hot sauce with the white sauce. In a rude and demeaning way.
I stood there and edited my old review from 3 star to 1 star in front of the guy packing the food.
And to take pride in your quality of food when there are so many reviews that are speaking about the lack of quality shows you’re not listening to your customer. That nasty cube in our food was witnessed by the 4 ppl who were visiting. We had got the rice and chicken for a senior who wanted something with rice and no spice. Read moreIf you like shawarma and customer service this location is not for you. If zero stars was an option, that is the rating I would give this place. I would never order here again. save your time and money and go someplace else because there are so many shawarma places that are great! We placed our order in store for take out. The man taking our order was extremely rude and had a bad attitude. At this point I ignored it, as I thought maybe he was having a bad day. When we got home, all 3 shawarmas we ordered had literally no vegetables, and were poorly made. The veggies were in only one section of the shawarma. Nor did he make the shawarmas as we requested. I called the location very upset because the purpose for take out is to enjoy a meal not made at home. When I called the location, I essentially was told to keep my voice down because I am a lady. He wasn’t listening to what I was saying and was talking over me, so naturally the tone of my voice was getting louder. I asked to speak to the manager and was met with the same hostile tone and lack of customer service. They totally gas light you, as they were speaking aggressively and very hostile but said it was me, and even when I tried to communicate diplomatically, both the employee and manager kept talking over me. News flash to this location… you are in the customer service industry so learn to speak to people properly and learn to diffuse situations instead of leaving customers disappointed and escalating this to a point I was compelled to write this review. I really wish I could have gave this place a higher rating….. but…. It’s also not the first bad experience I’ve had at this location. This location does seem to be consistent in poor customer service and over- saucing the wraps. I hope this review helps someone order some place else so they can enjoy their food in peace… the whole interaction with the employee and manager definitely made the food taste worse.
