Okay, so I use to love going here because their food is good for a reasonable price, especially their lunch menu specials. I went to order their "sweet and sour chicken" from their lunch specials and I asked if they could put the sweet and sour sauce "on the side" instead of having it on top of the chicken and rice. I asked for them to do this because they always drench my rice and chicken with the sauce and it can be a bit much for me, it just gets too soggy. Once I asked the lady at the counter if I could have it placed on the side and not all over the food she said it would cost an extra 50 cents. So of course I asked why? I'm not asking for "extra" sauce I'm just asking for it on the side, and as a response she said "we charge 50 cents for that" So at that point I thought maybe she didn't understand what I meant and so I tried to explain to her that I don't like the sauce all over my food and to have it placed on the side instead. She still had the same response "it will be 50 cents more" I am in no way complaining that I cannot afford 50 cents, I just don't want to spend 50 cents for them to place sauce in a separate container, because why would I have to pay the extra 50 cents ? If you were to order sweet and sour chicken from their regular menu it, the chicken comes in a box and the sauce is on the side. Now if they can do that, then why can't they put my sauce...
Read moreAs an Indian I grew up on the staple of North Indian food and variations on Chinese cuisine called indo-chinese. I am sure these indo-chinese dishes will be unrecognizable for a person of Chinese origin but ask any Indian (or for that matter - any south asian) and you will hear the craving for good indo-chinese food in their answer.
The interesting thing is, indo-chinese is difficult to make by authentic Chinese restaurants so we had set our expectations really low when we ordered from fortune dragon for the first time. But when we tasted it, all of us thought this was food from Big Wong (our favourite indo-chinese restaurant back in Gurgaon). The food is well done and very close to the indo-chinese versions of these dishes. Fortune cookies are cute.
Chilly chicken, sesame chicken and kung pao is recommended. Kung pao comes with sticky rice so its better you ask which dosh are with rice to balance how much noodles or accompaniment you should order. Seafood is well made and shrimps are very tasty. The cantonese noodles are just like those thin noodles used by famous street vendors in Delhi (which is a complement - just in case it is unclear).
I was also impressed by the portions - no complaints there and we usually have left overs to eat at leisure the next day. The only negative is that sometimes the dishes are too sweet but still edible and cravable!

Read moreIts unfortunate that these guys can't get their act together!! Food is okay but they screw up on just about every order. I ordered dinner tonight to be delivered at 6 pm and it arrived at 5 pm???? Driver blamed the kitchen and when I called the restaurant they blamed the driver. Not sure how the driver is at fault......he's simply driving a car.
On New Year's eve i placed a $200 order for pick up and I went to get it. When I got back we noticed that they forgot a complete bag of food. They would not deliver it because they said they were too busy so I had to drive all the way back while our guest waited.
Never offered any credit then or today. The only thing they said was that they could give free chicken wings next time I order.
Very poor customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time to find a new Chinese Restaurant!! Why show loyalty to them if they can't show loyalty to their customers.
I you order from them do not pay in advance like I did because you will be at their mercy if they mess up your order.
If any one has any suggestions of where to go for good Canadian Chinese food please post it so I can try it out.
Good Luck with these guys because they admit to their mistakes and you will just have to live with it.
I have been a good customer for a long time hope...
