I placed an order last night for pickup today at lunch. My order went through and my credit card is charged. I received a confirmation email.
Upon arrival the employee asked for my order and I showed it to her. She tells me immediately that their system is down and never received my order. She then says that they can’t honour the deal that processed on the website.
I asked her for a refund at this point and was rejected. I now started to record my conversation with her and advised her so but I left her face out for privacy. I asked her if she couldn’t fulfill my order why can’t I have my money back. Would I have to file a fraud or police report. She advised me to contact customer service.
After some deliberation she decides to call her manager. She mentions to me that she will honour the sandwiches and heads to the back. Another client comes in to pick up his order and she tells him the same thing. That the system is down and she never received his order. He would have to wait for them to make it now.
A third client comes in asking for a deal he received in the past to purchase a burger for $2 which they honoured.
Finally she returned to me and said, sorry we can not honour it now. My manager said we can’t honour a deal we don’t have on our system, and we can’t fulfill orders that don’t show up in our queue.
I pointed out that the gentlemen beside me just came in to pickup and order that you didn’t receive. Yet you are still honouring it…
Long story short… I’m filing a fraud report with credit card and now have to contact customer service. Avoid this kfc

This was my second time coming to this store, it will be my last. First time was back in 2021, had an awful experience so I did not want to go back again. I decided to give it another chance two years later now in 2023 which was my mistake. I wanted to order popcorn chicken but was told they were out of the night, they did not offer to make any more (keep in mind this was only 7pm, still 2 hours left before closing which seemed very early still). Instead, I ordered a bucket with sides at 7pm for takeout and I ended up having to wait over 30 minutes before I heard anything. The staff ushered me to come to the front 30 minutes later and explained that they had overcooked their chicken as it was left in the fryer for too long, and offered me a sample if I am good with it. I was hesitant but I tried it, and I honestly did not want to wait another 30 mins at this point as time is valuable so I took the loss. The icing on the cake is that they made me sign a contract to state that I was not allowed any compensation after the fact which makes me think this is a reoccurring problem at this store. Read moreDisappointing experience at this location. I ordered the fried pickles on the kiosk along with a 6-piece bucket meal for takeout. The fired pickles were not in stock in the store, and I was not interested in any other item, so I asked for a refund. I did not get the correct amount of money back for the item, and I went up to the counter asking for the proper refund, which included HST, as I only got the base price for it. The worker at the counter said we don't give the HST back in the refund, so I got shortchanged. Additionally, I asked for a manager and was told that there is no manager in the store. So god only knows if any of the workers have a food handler certification.
On top of that, the food from this location was not great. The chicken was soggy and barely edible. It's a shame that this seems to be the case with all KFCs in Ontario because KFC used to be the best fried chicken place out there. Might as well just go to Jollibee if I want my fix, because at least there, they have great customer service and food quality control.
