Went out for dinner last night at The Park Lorne Park. The experience and meal were mediocre at best.

Had a 6pm reservation, and service was so slow we didn’t end up finishing our meal until 9:15. Admittedly, we had an appetizer, entree and dessert. But, it took 30 minutes from our arrival before the server even took our cocktail order.

French onion soup was good - though the cheese had no colour to it whatsoever. Almost looked microwaved.

The servers description of the entrees was inaccurate, and he seemingly didn’t know the menu very well.

The most disappointing part of the evening was being served a bottle of wine ($225) that had cork taint. As the server opened it, the cork was literally disintegrating with parts visibly falling into the wine. I’m a wine collector, and am very familiar with the smell of a corked wine. When I pointed out the issue, the server went to get their ‘sommelier’ who came over and began arguing with me that the wine was fine, and that’s just how this particular brand is. He then went on to show me a photo on his phone of another disintegrating cork. (Seemed like they have experienced complaints before).

All in all, underwhelming experience. And at $692 (before tip), for 4 people, I would have hoped for a little better of an experience.

I recognize the restaurant has many positive reviews - that’s the reason we decided to try it. Maybe we just got it on an off night. But with the experience we had, we...

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to celebrate our anniversary and were so surprised to find the park hidden amongst the houses. This unassuming restaurant tucked in a strip mall is both stunning inside and such an amazing experience. We were blown away by the passion of the restaurants owner for his gin selection. He made two custom cocktails the fit exactly what we wanted and were some of our favorites to date. We had the soup de jour, a roasted red pepper with balsamic drizzle, was delicious, hot and very obviously made with good ingredients - not fillers. We also shared the beef tartar and my husband agrees, it was one of the best we’ve had. We didn’t feel like steak tonight so we both went for fish mains, the lobster risotto and the Sea bass, both of which were incredible. The lobster risotto was cooked to perfection. I was so impressed. My husband had the sea bass ( which I tried) and it was to die for. The skin was cooked to absolute perfection and was placed nicely on a bed of delicious vegetables. Our experience was beyond our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any of our friends and family. Thank-you so much. We will...

I recently celebrated my birthday at the park, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the host, who made me feel right at home. Our waiter was equally impressive—he was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to explain each dish and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, which really enhanced our dining experience.

The food itself was nothing short of outstanding! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I was truly impressed by the quality and creativity of the menu. It was clear that a lot of care goes into every aspect of the dining experience.

The atmosphere of the park added a lovely touch to the celebration, making it a perfect setting for my special day. I genuinely enjoyed every moment and can't wait to return. I highly recommend this place for any occasion—whether it's a birthday, a family gathering, or just a casual outing. It truly deserves a...

The Park is an upscale restaurant and hidden gem in Lorne Park Mississauga. Booking online was easy. We had a few questions early on and Pratik (GM) was very responsive on email. We went on a weekday and it was nice and quiet, exactly what we wanted. The staff were friendly and informative. The food and drinks are pricey, but you get what you pay for. The clam chowder had tasty bits and wasn't watery. The lamb shank fell off the bone. The halibut was a great portion and veggies were perfectly cooked. We had the cheesecake and triple mousse which were served in fancy smoke and drizzle. The cocktails and mocktails were also very good! I'd recommend this moreso for couples and adults celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Probably not a first date unless you're trying to impress, lol. It's definitely more of an intimate, upscale vibe and not targeted at families, but I'm confident the staff would treat younger guests just the same. We'll definitely be back!
