My partner and I ordered our meal on the papa John’s website which included two pizzas, a 10 inch cheesesticks, and the cinnamon pull apart dessert for pick up and pay at store. But after my partner paid we checked our order once in the car and realized I had been given a cookie pizza rather than the cinnamon pull-aparts. When we went back in, the employees told us that they don’t have the cinnamon pull aparts so they decided to substitute them with the cookie pizza and charge us for it.
My big issue with this is that before my partner paid in-store they did not inform him that they substituted the dessert. Once we realized and questioned it, they also did not offer a refund. They told us they could not refund us for the cookie because it was an online order even though he paid in store. Eventually after some back and forth they agreed to give us a $10 voucher for our next online order over $20. However, after this I am unsure how often we will return.
The employee also told us that they have not had the cinnamon pull-aparts for at least a year but it remains on the menu and is available for order. He also said that they have had multiple people complain about this but nothing is done about it. Food should not be available on the website if it is not available in store, and food definitely should not be substituted with another item at the customers expense without their awareness.
I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this service and how it was handled. I hope this is addressed and the owner can not only remove unavailable options from the menu but can offer a better solution to customers who do not receive what they ordered...
Read moreIt's been 4 years and I still think about the time I placed an order for a $24 pizza and the delivery driver showed up looking disheveled as he//. All I had was a $50 bill and he looked at it then at me and told me he "couldn't break that big of a bill because his float wasn't that big' all the man needed was a $20, $5 and 1 loonie, mind you this wasn't super late or super early. His suggestion was he wait at MY apartment while I walked down the road for 5 minutes to the gas station and either go to the ATM to withdraw a manageable amount of cash OR break my bill down with the cashier THEN walk back where he could proceed to give me my pizza. I told him there was absolutely zero chance I was going to do that and he asked me what I would like to do. I told him I wanted my pizza and HE should go to the ATM down the road and return with a float "big enough" to break down my 'unmanageable' amount of cash. He stated he didn't have to do that and told me that he was leaving and if I wanted my pizza it would be back at the mountain Rd location.
Needless to say I was completely bamboozled, I DID submit a complaint online but to this at still haven't heard anything about it. Wondering if my pizza is still available or what became of it and that...
Read moreThe food's rather good. That's not what I'm complaining about here. This location, rather, has a serious bout of incompetency. On two separate occasions, I order Chicken Poppers, which by default do not have sauce drizzled on them. I ordered them as default, as in no sauce on top. On these two occasions, the horrid buffalo sauce was on top. I'm empathetic to the struggles of minimum wage employees, and I understand that they can have hundreds of orders in one day. However, this is not as if they forgot one thing in a complex order; they added one thing on the order that was not ordered. It would require less effort to do my order correctly than to screw it up by putting the sauce on. If this occurred once, I wouldn't care. But this occurring twice, in the period of one month, is inexcusable and shows a serious problem with their staff. They clearly didn't pay any attention to the order; if they did, they wouldn't have added more than what I actually ordered. This is not a lack of effort, this is incompetency. Worst of all, when I called them back, they wouldn't give a refund. You may say "it's just sauce, what's the fuss", but the sauce tasted like fire ants in my mouth. Don't order food from...
