We had dinner there on Friday night. Location is good. It was busy around 9 pm. Parking is limited maybe because of the movie night in open air. We ordered linguini pasta with shrimps, salmon, vegetable pasta and fish and chips. Breaded fish tasted average like frozen breaded fish. Salmon was good. Linguini pasta with shrimp was nice. In dessert we ordered creme Brule and chocolate cake. Both were good. Our waitress was helpful and nice.

La serveuse prend nos menus pis demande si on veut une consommation. Mon chum demande s’ils ont de la limonade. « Ben oui », qu’elle répond. On commande ça pour les enfants. La limonade arrive, ça ressemble à un drink avec de la grenadine au fond. Les enfants sont contents, c’est joli. Mais en goûtant, on se rend compte que c’est du Sprite mélangé avec du jus d’orange, de la grenadine pis un mix de bar. Mes enfants aiment pas le pétillant, ça leur pique la bouche. On le dit à la serveuse, qui répond : « Oui, c’est ça la limonade ici. Vous êtes pas du coin? À Montmagny, c’est comme ça qu’on fait. » Nous, on explique que partout ailleurs, la limonade, c’est jus de citron sucré dilué dans de l’eau. Elle dit : « Ben non, pas ici. » Elle refuse de reprendre celle du plus jeune parce qu’il avait déjà pris une gorgée avant qu’on réalise que c’était pas une vraie limonade fancy. Finalement, c’est moi qui la bois. C’était bon, mais c’est sûr que c’est pas une limonade, plutôt un « sex on the beach » virgin. Elle aurait dû accepter de les reprendre et nous prévenir quand on a demandé s’ils avaient de la limonade. Les nachos étaient bons, mais y’avait trop d’épices sur le fromage, ça les rend un peu secs. En général, c’était bon, mais y’a des affaires à améliorer.

Great restaurant experience! Excellent menu selection with a huge variety of choices. The quality of the food is top notch and the staff were highly professional. We showed up without reservations and were lucky to get a spot, so be sure to reserve ahead of time. Alcohol selection is also huge, so certainly lots of opportunities to find the right drink for your meal. I’ll be returning for sure.

We looked up a restaurant offering GF food and Cafe Bistro Au Coin came up. We arrived without a reservation and the place was busy. They found us a table and they have a dedicated GF menu. They also understand about GF. The waitresses were run off their feet but were smiling and enquiring about our food. The food was very good and the pricing was reasonable. Would definitely recommend it if you are passing through or in town...

We always stop in Montmagny when travelling through Quebec - and Au Coin du Monde is our favourite restaurant. Tonight we both had the steak dinner - mine medium rare - hubbies well done - both excellent! The highlight is the grilled vegetables - no fewer than 7 and perfect!
