Alice & Theo makes, without a doubt, the best cream puffs in the world. If I were on my deathbed and could only have one last bite of food, I’d probably choose one of their pastries—assuming, of course, they’d actually be open. Which brings me to my main issue: this place operates on a schedule that seems to have been determined by throwing darts at a calendar while blindfolded. One day they close at 6 PM, the next at 9 PM. It’s like playing a high-stakes game of ‘Will They Be Open?’ every time you crave something sweet.
The interior is also… a choice. I can only assume they ran out of budget after perfecting their recipes because the decor has the charm of a forgotten waiting room at the dentist. It’s giving “we just moved in” energy, except they’ve been open for a while. But hey, who needs ambiance when the food is this good?
And then there’s their Instagram. If you’ve ever wondered what bad marketing looks like, look no further. Their posts have the chaotic energy of millennials on crack, mixed with a deep misunderstanding of what actually makes people want to buy pastries. It’s not quirky—it’s borderline anti-advertising. The cream puffs sell themselves, but this social media strategy is actively working against them.
So yes, their cream puffs are life-changing, and I will continue to put myself through the emotional rollercoaster of their random hours just to get one. But Alice & Theo, I beg you—hire an interior designer, commit to some normal hours, and for the love of all things holy, get a marketing team. You deserve to thrive, and so do your confused but devoted...
Read moreok i'll tell you what's the problem.me and my friend accidentally walked in the shop while it was closed.we didn't check the opening time so i guess it was our fault? the was not lock and there're 2 staff there.
instantly the guy started yelling at us something in French which I did not understand but my friend did.my initial reply was I'm sorry?and the guy kept yelling again. I understand the quebec's complication about the language but I think there're better way to deal with situation than just yelling at your soon to be your costumers.
I just find it's rude and unprofessional especially when the door was not lock these kind of accident can happen and it's not a big deal not sure why he feel the need to yell and give us that attitude.
it's too bad cause the your product look and smell great.we got recommended by a random girl on that street and i want to get some back for my...
Read moreCant begin to explain to you how AMAZING this place smells as soon as you walk in! Some of the best cream puffs ive ever had the pleasure of tasting, a bit on the expensive side, but the hype is real and worth it. Ive tasted every flavour and surprisingly the classic chocolate flavour is my favourite and a close second would be passion fruit. They are by far the most superior ones! My only suggestion would be to maybe to work on the matcha one? As a HUGE matcha lover and someone who has it daily, I found the cream puff version my least favourite of the bunch and it happedned to be the one I was most excited to try, unfortunately the flavour was too overpowering imo. Overall dont miss out cant wait to go back summer time for ice cream...
