Arabesque is easily at the top of the Montreal falafel list. They have a variety of options to order from but at least trying their falafels is non-negotiable if you go. They make classic chickpea falafels that are both perfect in texture and in taste. They offer classic toppings but they really stand out for their personal twist with sumac, sesame seeds, amazing preserved lemon slices and sauces which you won't see at other falafel shops. Hanny also gave us muhammara to try, I am very picky about my muhammara and I can confidently say it was amazing. My friend had the Shish Taouk which she raved about. The fries and their sauce were also delicious. We found this place randomly while looking for food to enjoy at the nearby park, unfortunately there was construction everywhere around the little shop but a small passage was created to let people get through. The food and hospitality are 1000% worth the effort. There is also seating upstairs and a picnic table outside.

We randomly found this little gem today while we were in the area and craving falafel. The owner, Elie, is extremely kind and hospitable, and his workspace was incredibly clean and organized (which is a big plus). My husband and I had one sandwich each, and it was one of the best falafels we have eaten in Montreal to date (and we have tried most falafel places here!). The falafels are fried on the spot, as they should be, and are nice and crunchy on the outside, and flavourful on the inside. I highly recommend this place for your falafel cravings, and we will definitely be back for more!

Excellent falafel, excellent staff, excellent experience! You can tell the guys enjoy being there, and they’re producing great sandwiches. The falafel on saj bread is a must. They add mint and small slices of lemon in the toppings. They give the sandwich a fresh taste, but personally I’d get it without the lemon pieces. The falafel is made fresh to order and it is delicious. They offer you a sampler while you’re waiting for your sandwich. It goes to show how generous they are. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I recommend it to everyone.

Note: i heard from someone that they had a bad experience at this place, then found out that it was with old owners of this place, now there is a new owner

Didnt expect it to be this good!! Someone recommended this place to me and when i arrived at the location and saw where it was, surrounded by apartment buildings in a random spot, not much traffic, i got slightly skeptical, but when i went inside i got a warm welcome from the owners and they seemed happy to be doing what theyre doing

And then i tried their falafel, which is especially what i went there for, i was very impressed and im not easily impressed when it comes to food, it was as authentic and as good as a falafel could get

The place gives you the impression that it is only falafel they sell or at least its the main item, hence the name

But the owner told me they make other things mentioned fried chicken, and there i was definitely hesitant, skeptical and had a lot of doubt about the chicken, because it is not that easy to get good fried chicken, and I was mind blown by how good that was, i am certain it would be theee best or atleast better than any that you might have had in the past

Thank you for your great hospitality, service, and delicious food made with love. You definitely earned...

I was in town for a few days and I ate here 3 times, it was SO GOOD!

Day 1 was the falafel wrap. I have never had falafel made to order before. They were incredible, amazingly crisp, soft and fluffy inside. If you only get 1 thing, get the falafel.

Day 2 was the fried chicken sandwich. Tender, crispy, served in a sesame bun with lots of slaw and sauce to the point I thought it would be soggy. It was not soggy at all, it was perfect. Every bite was flavourful and delicious.

Day 3 was the shawarma wrap. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Tender chicken, crisp pickles, tangy sauce, wrapped up and grilled until crisp. It didn't survive the 10 minute walk to where I...
