I recently visited Boustan and had a really satisfying experience. I ordered their Mixed Shawarma Bowl in the standard size ($17.99), and as part of their Monday deal, I also ordered the Junior Shawarma Bowl ($11.99). The store was fairly empty since it was evening, which gave me a chance to enjoy a quieter, more personal experience. The employees were friendly and attentive, ensuring my order was correct and making sure I had everything I needed.

In depth review:

The Mixed Shawarma Bowl was delicious . The meat—combining both chicken and beef—was perfectly seasoned and tender, with just the right balance of spices. It was grilled to perfection and packed with flavor. The garlic potatoes, which I absolutely love, were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with the ideal amount of seasoning. They really added to the dish’s overall appeal.

The garlic sauce and hummus were a perfect match for the meal, creamy and rich, complementing the meat and potatoes well. The fresh salad that came with the bowl was a nice touch, offering a refreshing contrast to the savory flavors of the shawarma and potatoes.

Portion Size & Pricing: For $17.99, the Mixed Shawarma Bowl was a generous portion, but I also found the Junior Shawarma Bowl at $11.99 to be a great deal, especially as part of the Monday special. Both bowls provided great value for the quality of food, and the pricing felt fair for the portions and fresh ingredients.

Service & Atmosphere: The atmosphere was quiet, and while Boustan is usually known for its busy, casual vibe, the evening visit allowed for a more relaxed experience. The staff was welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I appreciated that they took the time to ensure my order was right, which made me feel like a valued customer.

Final Thoughts: Boustan continues to impress with its high-quality, flavorful Lebanese food. The Mixed Shawarma Bowl was delicious, and the Junior Shawarma Bowl was a great value, especially with the Monday special. The garlic potatoes were a standout, and the pairing of garlic sauce, hummus, and fresh salad created a well-rounded meal. With attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere on this particular evening, it was a great experience. If you’re in Montreal and craving flavorful, satisfying Lebanese food, Boustan is always a...

The reviews on here must be from family or friends of the owners 😂😂😂 I gave the benefit of the doubt, but we've ordered three times now from there and have been very disappointed and felt very cheated. We paid 19.50$+tx per plate for a mix chicken shawarma platter and it was a joke. I wouldn't even serve the tiny quantity of dry, small shards of meat to my dog. So basically you're paying almost 20$ plus tax for rice and potatoes and they even go cheap on the hummus and garlic sauce - like c'mon those are such cheap elements.Everything just slapped into a container carelessly and a pita on top of it all to get nice and soggy. I get the price of everything has gone up, but this is ridiculous. Never again.

P.S. the owner wrote here asking me to e-mail the store as if they would do something to make it right. I immediately e-mailed them and have not heard back months later. Just so people know that this comment from Boustan is...

I ordered via UberEats from the de Salaberry branch of Boustan. I clearly marked my choices. Most of my choices were not followed through on. As though they hadn’t even looked. They put HUMMUS on the potatoes ?!?! They put sauces where I requested NONE. They did NOT include extra cheese packets and I was still charged for them. The extra 10 oz of chicken were the leftover crumbs (not shavings which I expected), and there was literally only one piece of meat identifiable as chicken! The quantity of food included as two additional orders was barely what I would imagine to be one serving. This restaurant might be different if you’re in person, but the quality of service and resulting food quality for the delivery was not only disappointing, it was discouraging to ever place another order with this restaurant again. The employee paid no attention to any detail of the order, and didn’t...

I am extremely disappointed with my recent order. The garlic potatoes were soggy, raw, and had a foul taste that made them inedible. I couldn’t find a single fresh potato in the box. This is unacceptable, especially for a franchise like Boustan. Additionally, I ordered a 10 oz serving of chicken, but what I received was not shaved chicken as expected. Instead, it looked like leftovers that were scraped off a shelf and thrown into a box. The quality was gross, disrespectful, and completely unsatisfactory. This experience was a huge waste of money, and I feel completely let down. I would advise others to avoid this place based on my experience. Other reviews seem to confirm the poor quality, so take a look at the chicken images for yourself before considering ordering.
