Athena Pizzeria — Restaurant in Montreal

On my way back home this evening, I got hungry and I didn’t feel like a fast-food meal…

I arrived at 9:30 pm expecting to have to take a take out… I understand arriving 30 minutes prior their closing time is « annoying »… I work kind of in the same industry with my paintball park and foods too!

I asked Alex who greeted me: « What’s the house specialty? ». Right away he said pizza! But I was feeling more like a plate of some sorts… and he proposed the chicken brochette, man that plate was delicious:

The chicken cooked just right!

The french fries were super tasty, I didn’t ask for mayo or ketchup, that’s how tasty they were!

Salad was fresh!!

I even ordered 2 mango juice bottles!

Alex read my mind and let me eat on site… he was so nice, great attitude and fantastic smile! (Hey Boss, Alex & the cook each deserve a raise!)

Typical pizzeria fare done well. The dining room is never crowded, however their phone is ringing off the hook which is a good sign. A very brisk pick up and delivery business. Chicken/ pork souvlaki and gyros all very good ( owner/ cook is obviously Greek) although salad and fries portions could be a bit larger. Submarines as well, excellent, not greasy. Served on regular sub-bread or option on pizza dough bread which is awesome! For me, their bread and butter is the pizza. I always eat in, therefore it's always hot and fresh. Crust not too thick, stretched to maximum size without being too thin. Tasty sauce, ample toppings but not too ample. Everything is done right. Fully liscenced, prices are on par if not a bit cheaper than similar pizzerias. Servers are cheerful and polite. Only complaint would be the parking. Only a handful of spots.Two thumbs up from this guy...keep up...

This is the first time i ordered from Athena and sorry will not make this mistake again! I was excited ordering from a new place but ended soo disappointed! My pizza arrived cold and the pizza sauce wassweet and there was no taste to the pizza! 😔 i would rather make acDr. Oetker pizza knowing its taster then the pizza i ordered especially for your prices! We have even ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was boring with not all the options a souvlaki comes with! You should rethink on your pizza and chicken souvlaki!
