Au Vieux Duluth - PAT — Restaurant in Montreal

First time I went to this restaurant. From the get go, the Maître D /owner did not seem to like my presence there, I was dressed properly, I find him rude with his comment.i ignored him. I was placed sitting in an aisle. Table, utensils were dirty. Full of bread crumbs and dirt. Asked to sit somewhere else. When he realised that was me, he refused. Having waited a long time for service finally my meal arrived.steak and shrimp: steak was extremely overcooked. Burnt. Portion not worth $40.00. As for the waitress, she started rude after awhile she changed her ways. Yet I gave her a 20% gratuity. Will I set my foot into this restaurant again, nope, not on my life. My hard earned money can go towards a restaurant that offers great service, good food and the owner appreciates my business. I do eat out a lot. I am feeling you “ le monde...

A lot of things to say about this horrible restaurant. First of all, I ordered a steak yesterday and that costed me around 100$. After taking forever to arrive, it was dry and had no flavour or seasoning to it. Second of all, the owner is an awful person who clearly doesn’t know how to run a business or even use manners when talking to customers. He got angry at my mom and called her a “dumb blonde” when she isn’t even blonde. Even the waiters said the owner is a terrible person and has no respect towards customers. Terrible restaurant, a least the waiters apologized to my mom due to how rude the owner was, at least they have respect. 0/10, I would not eat there even if it’s all I could eat. Owner has to go to back to school and learn respect and how to run...

We ate here a few weeks ago and I do not know why, but I am indifferent.

The host, an older man, did not walk us to our table - he pointed at a table and we went there alone. A bit odd, but not the end of the world.

We were served by Vinny. He seemed nice but did not go above and beyond. We only saw him 3x (when ordering, when bringing is the food, and when paying). He did seem busy and was alone in a large section so I do not believe it was his fault.

In terms of the food, we ordered two souvlaki dishes and one lobster tail dish. The food was good, but missing some love; you know what I mean? Besides that, it did seem pretty pricey.
